Nemesis is Paladium’s in-house Minecraft anti-cheat, built to check both whether a player’s actions are plausible and whether the game client can be trusted. Paladium says it combines server-side behavioral simulation with client-side integrity monitoring, and tries to block suspicious actions before relying on bans. Its description is a first-party account—not an independent audit—so Paladium’s claim that Nemesis is Minecraft’s “best” anti-cheat should be read as its opinion, not a verified ranking.
How Nemesis checks whether gameplay is plausible
In its engineering account, Zeldown describes Nemesis as two complementary systems. The server-side layer looks at player behavior; the client-side layer checks the integrity of the game environment. Paladium says its own launcher enables the client-side checks.
Server-side simulation
Paladium says Nemesis builds a digital twin of each player’s game from incoming packets and simulates behavior alongside the live game. It checks whether movement, interactions, timing, and combat make sense under the game’s rules. The server-side layer is also described as a safety net for client checks.
Client integrity monitoring
Paladium lists checks for modified game components, code injected after launch, unexpected native calls, external access to game memory, and low-level or hardware-based access. It says detections generally combine multiple signals and that Nemesis has more than 40 detection vectors, updated daily. Those counts and capabilities are Paladium’s claims; the account does not provide independent verification.

How Nemesis tries to stop cheats before damage occurs
Paladium describes a block-first approach: prevent a cheat from working when possible, stop or close the game when client integrity cannot be trusted, and reserve sanctions for cases that meet its review standards.
Anti-X-ray
Paladium says the server initially sends ore data disguised as stone and reveals real blocks only as they become visible to the player. To account for latency, Nemesis predicts movement and sends relevant nearby ore data ahead of time to a secured memory area. The display can then switch when the player reaches the point where the blocks should be visible. This is Paladium’s explanation of the design, not an independently tested result.

Autoclickers
For autoclickers, Paladium says a click is checked at its origin, signed, and bound to the attack it triggers. The server checks the signature alongside the hit and cancels the attack if the proof is missing, mismatched, or late. In this example, the system aims to reject the attack before it causes damage.
What Paladium reports about detections and development
Paladium reported the following figures for Nemesis. They are self-reported, not independently audited; the six-month figures cover the six months before the article’s September 2026 publication. Paladium notes that multiple detections may relate to one player.

| Measure | Paladium’s reported figure | Scope |
|---|---|---|
| Detections | 8,900 | Six months before publication |
| Automatic sanctions | 1,124 | Six months before publication |
| Average detection time | 193 seconds | Six months before publication |
| Cheating bans | 2,020 | Total since Nemesis went live |
| Development work | More than 1,500 commits and more than 57,000 lines of code | Reported by Paladium in 2026 |
Paladium also describes its false-positive rate over more than a year of real-world use as “close to zero.” It does not give an exact rate or independent validation, so this should be understood as a qualitative claim rather than a measured, comparable statistic.
How detections lead to sanctions or appeals
A detection does not automatically mean a ban, according to Paladium. Before a detection vector can trigger automatic sanctions, Paladium says it undergoes a validation period that may last several months and must achieve at least one consecutive month without a false positive. Cases the system cannot resolve confidently are sent for human review.

- The classic UNO card game builds fun on game night with a Minecraft theme.
- UNO Minecraft features a deck and storage tin decorated with graphics from the popular video game.
- Players match colors and numbers to the card on top of the discard pile as in the classic game.
- The Creeper card unique to this deck forces other players to draw 3 cards.
- Makes a great gift for kid, teen, adult and family game nights with 2 to 10 players ages 7 years and older, especially Minecraft and video game fans.
Paladium says sanction timing ranges from near-instant to about 24 hours, depending on severity and a random factor. It describes the delay as a way to make it harder for cheat developers to infer how the system works from a predictable response time.

For appeals, Paladium says it retains anonymized detection logs with technical context, then replays and reviews them with a human. Zeldown, writing for Paladium, summarizes the stated sanction philosophy this way: “The goal is to avoid punishing a player who was simply curious enough to try a public cheat found online, without doing anything specifically targeted at Paladium.” These descriptions explain Paladium’s stated process; they are not external confirmation of its outcomes.

What is—and is not—established about Nemesis
Paladium’s account offers technical examples and operational figures, but it does not establish that Nemesis outperforms other Minecraft anti-cheats. The “best” label is Paladium’s own opinion; the article provides no independent head-to-head benchmark. Likewise, its near-zero false-positive description has no exact rate or external audit behind it.
Paladium says it is researching a separate program with a kernel-level component. That is a future engineering direction, not a feature the article says is deployed. The company also says it intends to set up an external audit program, but had “Nothing concrete to announce yet” in its September 2026 account.
