Its pricing page lists daily checks on Free and Lite, hourly checks on Essential, checks every 20 minutes on Business, and custom scheduling on Enterprise. The help center documents interval choices ranging from every 30 days to every 5 minutes; that full menu does not mean every plan can use every interval.
How often each ChangeTower plan checks
ChangeTower’s pricing page describes the plan-level check frequencies below. Page limits and history allowances can also matter when choosing a plan; check the linked pricing page for its current terms.
| Plan | Frequency listed | Monitored pages listed | Custom days and times |
|---|---|---|---|
| Free | Daily | 3 | Not listed |
| Lite | Daily | 25 | Not listed |
| Essential | Hourly | 100 | Available |
| Business | Every 20 minutes | 200 | Available |
| Enterprise | Custom schedule | Custom limits | Available |
These frequencies and page allowances are those stated on ChangeTower’s pricing page; the page does not state a publication date. For a particular account, use the options available in its monitor settings rather than assuming a plan includes every interval described elsewhere.
Which check intervals are available?
ChangeTower’s help center lists 15 interval choices: every 30 days, 14 days, 7 days, 5 days, 2 days, once a day, every 12 hours, 6 hours, 3 hours, 2 hours, 60 minutes, 30 minutes, 20 minutes, 10 minutes, and 5 minutes. The scheduled monitoring feature page says the plan determines the fastest interval, so the documented 5-minute option should not be read as available on every plan.

- Aluminum Alloy Housing: Built with a sturdy aluminum alloy shell that aids in heat dissipation and protects against daily wear and scratches. Designed to maintain a stable and secure connection.
- Compact & Travel-Friendly: The ultra-compact design allows the adapter to stay plugged into your device without blocking adjacent ports or adding bulk, reducing wear and tear on your original USB ports.
- 12-Month Warranty: Backed by a 12-month manufacturer warranty for peace of mind. Designed to meet strict quality control standards for reliable everyday performance.
An interval repeats at a fixed spacing. A custom schedule is different: it runs on selected days and at selected times. Custom schedules are listed from Essential upwards, and the selected times follow the workspace timezone. You can also start an individual check with Run Now. For the interval menu and monitor controls, see ChangeTower’s guide to changing how often a page is checked and its custom-schedule instructions.
How to choose a cadence
Frequency is set per monitor, so you can check important pages more often than stable ones. ChangeTower recommends a faster cadence for time-sensitive pages—such as prices, stock availability, or bid deadlines—and a slower cadence for pages such as legal terms, policies, or disclosures. Its help article suggests starting with a middle option if you are unsure, then adjusting based on how often the page actually changes. Those are vendor recommendations, not independent performance-test results.

- Choose a slower interval for content that tends to remain stable and does not need rapid detection.
- Use a custom schedule when checks should happen only on particular days or at particular times; account for the workspace timezone.
What happens when you change the frequency?
A changed frequency takes effect from the monitor’s next check. More frequent checks do not, by themselves, mean more alerts: alerts depend on detected changes or the criteria configured for the monitor. If a page is edited several times between checks, ChangeTower may group those edits relative to the prior snapshot rather than report each intermediate state separately. For a check outside the normal schedule, use Run Now.
Independent reader supportYour contribution helps us test, update, and keep practical guides available for everyone. When an on-demand screenshot is enough
ChangeTower is for scheduled website-change monitoring. If your need is instead to request a screenshot on demand—for example, to save a page image from an application—ScreenshotNeo is a screenshot API and MCP server, not a substitute for ChangeTower’s recurring change alerts. One GET request can return a PNG, JPEG, WebP, or PDF. Its clean-shot process can accept cookie banners and remove more than 60 known consent platforms, newsletter popups, and chat widgets before capture; those steps can be disabled. Bot checks or CAPTCHAs, blank pages, timeouts, failed loads, and cache hits are not billed, and responses identify the page verdict and billing status in headers. An MCP server offers take_screenshot, get_page_info, and capture_pdf tools for AI agents.
