Bitdefender VPN has a limited Basic option and a Premium subscription with unlimited protected traffic. A U.S. price report put standalone Premium at $35 for the first year and $70 after that, as of June 2026; that is dated U.S. pricing, not a guaranteed offer elsewhere. Check your local checkout for the current total and renewal terms before subscribing.
How much does Bitdefender VPN cost?
WIRED reported a U.S. standalone subscription price of $35 for the first year and $70 after the first year in June 2026. Treat those figures as a dated report for the United States, not a current quote or a price that applies in every country. WIRED’s review
Bitdefender’s product page did not provide a usable live price in the market information available here, so a current price for other regions cannot be established. An older Bitdefender user guide describes monthly and yearly Premium billing, with the yearly plan paid once for a year of access; check whether those options are still offered where you live. Is Bitdefender VPN free?
Bitdefender’s Basic offering is limited rather than an unlimited free VPN. Its user guide describes Basic as 200 MB of traffic per day per device and one location that users cannot change. Because that guide is older, confirm the current allowance and availability in your market before relying on those limits. Bitdefender’s user guide

RTINGS’ review update dated July 13, 2026, says it found no published independent audits of Bitdefender VPN’s policy adherence or security infrastructure. It also notes that the terms involve Hotspot Shield. This is a reason to weigh the available verification when assessing the service; it does not, by itself, establish that Bitdefender logs user activity. RTINGS’ Bitdefender VPN review

How to decide whether Premium is worth it
- Choose Basic only if its stated daily traffic allowance and fixed location meet your needs, and verify that those terms still apply in your region.
- Consider Premium if you need unlimited protected traffic, worldwide server access, or coverage across several supported devices.
- Compare the exact first-term and renewal costs shown at checkout, rather than treating the reported U.S. introductory price as a universal rate.
- If privacy assurance is central to your decision, distinguish Bitdefender’s own policy claims from the independent audit evidence RTINGS says it could not find.
