The original Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles animated series has 193 episodes. It aired from 1987 to 1996. Here, “original” means the 1987 cartoon, not a later TMNT television series.
What counts as the original TMNT series?
Paramount+ identifies the show as Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (1987) and lists its episodes by season and episode number in its official series guide. That distinguishes it from later animated and live-action TMNT series.

Why episode groupings can look different
The episode-list compilation reports ten seasons and a 1987–1996 broadcast span. It also notes that home-video packaging can group episodes differently: a North American 23-disc collection is described as containing all 193 episodes, while the list separately identifies a “Vacation in Europe” grouping. Those labels do not change the reported series total. The count and collection details come from a secondary episode-list source, not an official studio or distributor statement: episode list for the 1987 series.

Watching or collecting the complete series
If you are looking for a physical collection, the cited episode list describes a 23-disc North American DVD collection distributed by Lionsgate Home Entertainment as containing all 193 episodes. Treat that as a reported edition, not confirmation that it is currently available. Check that a listing claims all 193 episodes and verify its region compatibility and packaging before buying; those details are not established by the cited source.
