Lovable became a unicorn on July 17, 2025, when it announced a $200 million Series A at a $1.8 billion valuation. The funding came about eight months after its public launch in late November 2024. That valuation describes the 2025 financing—not Lovable’s current valuation.

What Lovable announced in July 2025

Lovable said the Series A raised $200 million at a $1.8 billion valuation. Accel led the round. Lovable named 20VC, byFounders, Creandum, Hummingbird, Visionaries Club, and angel investors as participants. Accel’s announcement also listed individual founders and executives who joined the round.

In its announcement, Lovable said the funding would help it “push the boundaries of what’s possible so our customers can tackle even more ambitious projects.” That describes the company’s stated goal for the capital; it is not evidence of a particular customer outcome.

Why the round came so soon after launch

Accel said Lovable publicly launched in late November 2024, putting the July 2025 Series A roughly eight months later. Accel described the product as “the AI platform that enables non-technical builders to create full-stack software applications through text.” This is the lead investor’s characterization, not an independent assessment of the platform.

The announcement timeline establishes how quickly Lovable reached a major financing milestone, but it does not by itself explain the investors’ valuation or prove that the product caused the funding. Lovable framed the capital as a way to support customers building more ambitious projects.

What Lovable’s reported user and revenue figures show

Accel reported more than 2.3 million active users as of July 17, 2025. TechCrunch reported that more than 180,000 were paying subscribers and that Lovable had $75 million in annual recurring revenue (ARR), attributing those figures to CEO Anton Osika’s recent talk. TechCrunch also said the 2.3 million active users were using Lovable for free.

These are reported company figures, not audited financial statements or independently verified usage metrics. In particular, the ARR figure is a reported run-rate measure, not a statement that Lovable had earned $75 million in revenue during a completed year.
