Disney Epic Mickey: Rebrushed takes about 10 to 10.5 hours to finish the main story, roughly 14 hours with side content, and around 23 hours for a completionist run, based on player-aggregate estimates. After the story, you can replay to pursue a different ending and work toward optional challenges, secrets, and pins—but don’t count on being able to freely explore after the final boss.
How long does Disney Epic Mickey: Rebrushed take?
Completion-time estimates put the main story at about 10 to 10.5 hours. A run that includes side content averages around 14 hours, while completionist play is roughly 23 hours. These are player-aggregate figures, not a publisher-guaranteed runtime; your pace and how much you explore will affect your total.

Replay for a different ending
Choices shape the adventure, including how you use paint and thinner to affect Wasteland. THQ Nordic describes the game as having multiple endings based on playstyle and decisions, making another run the clearest reason to return after the credits. See the official game page for its overview of the game and its features.
#1 Best Overall
- Explore a reimagined Wasteland, full of Disney's timeless characters and stories
- Wield the magic brush: Paint to create, thinner to alter. Every choice shapes your story
- Meet Oswald the Lucky Rabbit, Disney's original star, in a rich, narrative-driven world
- Enjoy advanced gameplay with new abilities and enhanced visuals in a classic setting
- Mickey has new moves such as dash, ground pound and sprinting
Seek out optional content
The game also offers virtual Disney pins, creative challenges, secrets, and optional exploration. Paint can restore or create, while thinner changes surroundings and can reveal secrets. The official page also lists dash, ground pound, and sprint among Mickey’s movement abilities.
Plan for missed content before the final boss
A player report on r/DisneyEpicMickey says the save returns to the point before the final-boss encounter rather than providing open-ended roaming after the ending. On that account, missed quests or collectibles may require another run, potentially using New Game+. This is community-reported behavior, not an officially confirmed rule across platforms or patches. If collecting everything matters to you, tackle optional content as you encounter it rather than leaving all cleanup until after the story.

Does the Switch 2 version change the estimated playtime?
THQ Nordic announced the Nintendo Switch 2 version as available on October 6, 2026, with improved resolution and frame rate, Joy-Con 2 mouse-style controls, and Costume Pack DLC. The announcement does not provide a separate completion-time estimate, so the player-aggregate figures above are the available planning reference. Details are in the publisher’s Switch 2 announcement.
The original release was developed by Purple Lamp and published by THQ Nordic. The publisher’s September 24, 2024 announcement listed Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and PC as platforms for that release; see the original release announcement.
