Skullcandy Sesh earbuds last from 5+ to 12 hours per charge, depending on the model and, for ANC models, whether noise cancellation is on. The charging case extends the published total to 24–48 hours. Those are playback-time claims—not estimates of how many years the batteries will remain useful. Skullcandy’s reviewed product pages do not state a battery-aging lifespan.
How many hours do Skullcandy Sesh earbuds last per charge?
Skullcandy’s figures differ by model. “Earbud runtime” below is playback from a charged pair of earbuds; “total with case” includes the additional playback time the case can provide through recharging. These are manufacturer-published claims, not independent test results.

Check the model name printed on your earbuds or packaging before using the comparison. The SESH ANC ACTIVE support page has an inconsistent FAQ bullet that says the case provides “30+ hours” with ANC on; its specifications and detailed breakdown instead give 21 hours from the case and 28 hours total. The table uses that internally consistent breakdown.
How many years do Sesh earbuds last?
The published playback figures cannot answer how many years the batteries will remain useful. Skullcandy’s cited pages do not provide a battery cycle count, capacity-retention curve, or expected service life in years. Long-term battery life depends on the individual earbuds’ use and battery condition, so it cannot be calculated from the hours-per-charge claims.

What can change playback time?
The clearest model-specific distinction in Skullcandy’s figures is ANC use: both ANC models are rated for longer playback with ANC turned off. Your listening conditions and the battery’s condition can also affect real-world use, so treat the published numbers as maximum claims rather than guaranteed results for every session.
What to check if Sesh Evo earbuds will not charge
For SESH EVO charging trouble, Skullcandy recommends checking the contacts and fit before assuming the battery has failed:

- 10 hours of total battery
- IP55 sweat, water, and dust resistant
- Charging case
- Microphone, call, track, volume control, and activate assistant
- Inspect the charging pins and remove any debris that could block contact.
- Check that the removable ear gels are positioned correctly so the earbuds sit properly in the case.
- Use a charging cable, charger, or outlet rated no greater than 18 watts (5 V/3.6 A), as Skullcandy recommends.
- If the indicator remains dark or charging still fails, consult the SESH EVO support page and consider a warranty claim.
These troubleshooting instructions are specific to SESH EVO; do not assume they apply unchanged to every Sesh model.
Warranty and water-resistance limits
Skullcandy’s current policy describes a one-year manufacturer’s limited warranty. A claim requires proof of purchase from an authorized seller; the receipt or invoice must identify the model, purchase price, and purchase date. Skullcandy says it may not have an exact replacement available. Warranty terms do not replace local consumer-law rights, and eligibility or options depend on where and how you bought the earbuds. Water and dust ratings are also model-specific and do not indicate battery lifespan. Skullcandy’s SESH EVO sell sheet lists IP55 sweat, water, and dust resistance; that claim is not a battery-longevity rating. Skullcandy describes SESH ANC ACTIVE as IP67-rated and says the earbuds may be submerged up to one meter for 30 minutes under testing conditions. It advises drying them before putting them back in the case. These ratings should not be extended to other Sesh models or treated as evidence of years of reliable operation.
