Yes—you can link an iPhone Lock Screen to a Focus. When that Focus is on, its linked Lock Screen appears; switching from that Lock Screen to another also switches the Focus. You can create multiple screens for different parts of your day, while choosing separately whether each screen shares its wallpaper with the Home Screen.
What linking a Lock Screen to a Focus does
A Focus-linked Lock Screen ties a particular screen to a Focus such as Work, Personal, Sleep, or Do Not Disturb. Apple documents two connected behaviors: the linked Lock Screen appears when its Focus is on, and switching away from a Lock Screen linked to a specific Focus also switches the Focus. This does not mean every Focus must have its own wallpaper; linking is a choice. Apple’s custom Lock Screen guide describes the relationship.
The link is more than an automatic wallpaper change. Focus settings can also govern allowed notifications, how silenced notifications appear on the Lock Screen, whether the Lock Screen is darkened, and which Home Screen page is shown. Focuses can also be scheduled and use filters. Apple’s Focus setup guide covers those controls.
Create or edit a Lock Screen

Press the side button to wake the iPhone, then touch and hold the Lock Screen to open the gallery. Tap the add wallpaper control to make a new screen, or swipe to an existing one and tap Customize.

Choose a wallpaper. Depending on the wallpaper and iOS version, you may be able to adjust the clock’s appearance and add widgets. The available editing options vary by wallpaper.

Tap Add or Done. Choose Set as Wallpaper Pair to apply a wallpaper to both the Lock Screen and Home Screen, or choose Customize Home Screen to adjust the Home Screen separately. Apple also provides a route through Settings > Wallpaper > Add New Wallpaper. See Apple’s wallpaper instructions.

Link the Lock Screen to a Focus

Set up the Focus you want to use first. You can do this in Settings > Focus.

Open the Lock Screen gallery by touching and holding the Lock Screen, then select the screen you want to link.

Tap Focus near the bottom of the wallpaper, choose the Focus, and close the picker. The selected screen is now linked to that Focus.
To review a Focus’s settings or change its associated screen and Home Screen page, open Settings > Focus and select the Focus. The available controls include notification permissions, scheduling, and filters.

Choose the right wallpaper and Home Screen setup

Understand device and wallpaper limits
Lock Screen options depend on the selected wallpaper and the iOS version. Not every iPhone or photo supports every wallpaper effect. For example, Apple specifies that certain spatial photo wallpapers require an iPhone 12 or later with iOS 26, and the photo must be eligible. Check Apple’s wallpaper guidance and the iPhone User Guide for the applicable features.
One additional cross-device detail: Apple says Focus filters do not sync across devices when Share Across Devices is enabled. Focus behavior and wallpaper editing options therefore should not be assumed to match identically on every device.
