To set up Auth0 Organizations for B2B sign-in, configure both the Organization in your Auth0 tenant and the application’s login behavior. Then enable the right identity connections, decide how membership is granted, apply Organization branding, and make sure your application can accept invitation links.
How do I set up Auth0 Organizations?
First confirm that Organizations are available for your tenant: Auth0 says availability depends on your plan or custom agreement. You can create an Organization in the Dashboard or with the Management API; API creation requires the create:organizations scope. See Auth0’s Organization setup documentation.
- In the Auth0 Dashboard, open Organizations and select Create Organization.
- Enter a unique logical name and, optionally, a display name. The logical name must be 1–50 characters and use lowercase letters, numbers, underscores, or dashes. Users may enter this name in a pre-login Organization prompt; the display name is the human-readable label.
- Add branding and metadata, or edit these after creation.
- Open the Organization’s Connections tab and add the tenant connections it should accept.
- Configure the application’s Organization behavior in Applications → select the application → Login Experience.
The Dashboard recommends a logo resolution of at least 200 by 200 pixels. Creating an Organization alone does not determine how the application routes users or which users become members; configure those separately.

An Organization can use connections that already exist in the tenant. In the Organization’s Connections tab, add the appropriate database, social, or enterprise connection. For each enterprise connection, choose whether it should appear as a button on the Organization login prompt. See Auth0’s connection settings documentation.

Choose how members are added
Set Membership On Authentication to match your access policy. When enabled, users who authenticate through that connection are automatically assigned membership in the Organization. Do not enable it simply because a connection is trusted: successful authentication and permission to join the Organization are separate decisions.
For a database connection, Organization Signup can expose a self-service signup link, but it depends on Membership On Authentication. If an Organization has only enterprise connections and every one is hidden, Auth0 documents an error because the Organization prompt has no visible connection.

Choose the application’s user type and login flow
In the application’s Login Experience settings, choose the user population. Auth0 maps Individuals to organization use deny, Business Users to require, and Both to allow. For Business Users, either supply an Organization when redirecting to /authorize or let Auth0 prompt for one. Auth0 describes three flow options:

- Prompt for an Organization: users select an Organization first, then authenticate.
- No prompt: the application supplies the required Organization parameters.
A customer-specific URL can supply that customer’s Organization during the redirect. A shared sign-in entry point can ask users to identify their Organization. If you allow both individuals and business users, design and test the personal-account route as well as the Organization route. Auth0’s application configuration guide describes the available behavior.
How do I brand the organization login page?
Open the Organization’s Branding section and set its logo, primary color, and page background color. In the Organization context, these settings override the general Universal Login page and email-template branding for Auth0’s out-of-the-box prompts. Auth0 also makes Organization context values available, including the Organization ID, display name, logical name, metadata, logo URL, primary color, and page-background color.
More extensive Universal Login page-template or email-template changes are possible, but Auth0 documents custom-domain requirements for those modifications. Organization logo and color settings are distinct from that deeper template customization. See Auth0’s Organization branding documentation.

How do I invite organization members?
Before sending invitations, set a tenant-level or application-level default login route and implement an application route that handles the invitation. Auth0’s invitation flow requires that route to accept the invitation and organization query parameters and call Auth0’s Authentication API Authorization endpoint with them. The URL may also include organization_name for a tenant subdomain or path; Auth0 says that parameter does not need to be sent to the Authorization endpoint.
Do these 3 things before closing this tab:
1Repair Windows errors before they cause bigger problems2Fix the driver behind crashes, sound loss and screen glitches3Clear out junk files and repair common Windows errors- Configure the default login route and build the application route to receive invitation links.
- In the Auth0 Dashboard, create an invitation for the Organization member.
- Choose Auth0 email delivery, or generate an invitation URL and send it through your own email service.
- Ensure the invitee signs in or creates an account using the email address to which the invitation was sent.
When an invitation is accepted, Auth0 marks that email address as verified. With federated login, the identity provider must return the same address. Organization member roles apply within that Organization and are separate from Auth0 RBAC roles. See Auth0’s invitation documentation.

Can verified organization domains enforce access?
No. Verified Organization domains can help identify an Organization during pre-login and route users to its associated identity provider. Only verified domains participate in discovery; pending or unverified domains do not trigger that routing. Domain discovery is not an access-control boundary: Auth0 explicitly states that Organization domains and Organization Domain Discovery do not restrict who can sign up or log in. Use actual authentication and membership policy to govern access. See Auth0’s Organization Domain Discovery documentation.
