The MQ-9 Reaper measures 66 feet (20.1 meters) across its wings, 36 feet (11 meters) long, and 12.5 feet (3.8 meters) tall, according to the U.S. Air Force’s MQ-9 Reaper fact sheet. Its wingspan is its greatest dimension.

These are the Air Force’s general characteristics for the aircraft, not measurements of its ground equipment or operating footprint. The fact sheet’s selected inventory information is current as of January 2025; the dimensions are presented as general characteristics.
What these measurements describe
“Reaper drone” here means the MQ-9 Reaper, which the Air Force describes as a remotely piloted aircraft system. The dimensions above refer to the aircraft itself. The complete operating system also includes a ground control station, satellite link, spare equipment, and operating and maintenance crews. The fact sheet identifies a remote crew consisting of a pilot and sensor operator.
How the Reaper compares with the Predator
The Air Force describes the MQ-9 as larger and more powerful than the MQ-1 Predator, but its fact sheet does not provide the Predator’s dimensions. That supports a qualitative comparison only; it does not establish a numerical difference in wingspan, length, or height.
