Start by identifying where the problem appears: in the editor or mobile layout, after an upload or custom-code change, only on the published site, or because the website or domain is unavailable. In Hostinger AI Builder manual mode, edits save automatically in the editor, but they do not appear publicly until you publish or update the website.
First, identify what is failing
- Layout or content looks wrong: Check the relevant desktop or mobile editor view and preview the layout.
- An upload fails or the site breaks after code changes: Check file requirements or temporarily isolate custom code.
- Edits are missing from the live site: Confirm the editor saved them, then publish and check visibility and cache.
- The site or domain is unavailable: Check publication, domain connection, DNS, account status, and any displayed error.
Hostinger notes that manual-mode changes are saved automatically in the editor, but a separate publish/update action is required for the public site. Interface labels can change; the steps below use the labels in Hostinger’s support guidance.
Fix a mobile layout that looks different
Hostinger AI Builder treats desktop and mobile as separate layouts. A page that looks correct on desktop can still need adjustment in the phone view.

- Inspect the page, including elements that may be hidden. Use the eye control in the layers panel to show or hide device-specific elements as needed.
- Reposition or reorder elements within the appropriate section. Avoid moving elements between sections while in mobile view: Hostinger warns this can affect the desktop layout.
- Preview the mobile layout, then publish or update the website to make the changes public.
- Check the published site on a phone or in a narrow browser window.
Preview is useful for reviewing appearance, but Hostinger says some functionality is limited there. Use the published site when checking whether the site works fully. See Hostinger’s manual-mode guide and preview instructions.

Resolve errors after adding custom code
Custom code may not appear on the editor canvas. Hostinger says it is visible in Preview or on the live site, so use those views to assess its effect.
- Copy your custom code somewhere safe before changing it.
- Temporarily remove integrations code and any page Embed code.
- Update the website, then inspect the published site.
- If the problem disappears, restore snippets one at a time, publishing and checking after each addition. This helps identify which snippet triggers the issue.
- If the problem remains with the code removed, check the site in a private window and try the cache and network checks in the section below.
- If you still cannot isolate the cause, contact Hostinger Support.

Fix an image or media upload failure
Check the file itself and its name before retrying. Hostinger’s stated maximum upload size is 15 MB; it recommends keeping images below 10 MB and using WebP.
- File size: Keep the file below the 15 MB maximum. For images, Hostinger recommends under 10 MB.
- Image format: Supported formats are JPG, JPEG, PNG, GIF, SVG, and WebP. HEIC and TIFF are not supported; convert either to JPG before uploading.
- Filename: Use Latin letters and numbers, without spaces or symbols such as
#,@, or!. - Video: Video files cannot be uploaded directly. Add the builder’s Video element and embed a YouTube or Vimeo link instead.
These limits and recommendations are from Hostinger’s manual-mode troubleshooting guidance.

Make edits appear on the live website
Saving in the editor and publishing are distinct actions. Hostinger puts it this way: “The changes are automatically saved within the editor. For the changes to reflect online, make sure to update your website.” — Hostinger Support, “How to save changes in manual mode”.
- Check that your edits are present in the editor.
- Choose Publish or Update website, as shown in your editor, and wait for the success confirmation.
- If visitors still see a Coming Soon page, disable Coming Soon.
- For a store item that is missing, confirm an appropriate product section is on the site, the product is marked Active, and its product record is saved. Then publish the site.
- Close extra editor tabs and avoid editing from multiple devices at once. Hostinger warns that simultaneous sessions can cause synchronization problems. If you made changes in another session, reopen the editor and reapply any missing edits before publishing.
- Open the site in a private window. If that changes what you see, clear your browser cache; you can also clear DNS cache or test from another network.
- If the custom domain was connected recently, allow time for it to work globally; Hostinger says this can take up to 24 hours. You can use the generated preview domain while waiting.
Hostinger recommends Chrome for best compatibility. Its guidance for changes that do not appear is in “Why changes do not appear on your website in manual mode” and its manual-mode publishing instructions.

Troubleshoot an unavailable website or domain
Work through the checks in order, since an unavailable site can be caused by publication, domain, DNS, or account configuration rather than by the page design.

- Confirm the domain is connected to the intended site. Make sure it points to the site you are trying to publish.
- Publish the site. A connected domain does not make unpublished changes public.
- Check DNS pointing. Confirm the domain’s DNS records point to Hostinger as required for your setup.
- Check DNSSEC if the domain is registered elsewhere. Hostinger identifies DNSSEC on an externally registered domain as a potential cause of availability problems.
- Confirm the domain and hosting plan are active. Check that neither has expired.
- Check Coming Soon. Disable it if it is showing instead of the site.
- Investigate the error shown. Hostinger lists 403 and SSL errors among the issues to check, along with cache. Test in a private window, clear browser or DNS cache, or try another network.
- Allow for domain changes to take effect. A newly connected custom domain may take up to 24 hours to work globally; use the generated preview domain in the meantime.
If these checks do not restore access, contact Hostinger Support. See its guidance on website availability in manual mode and publishing a manual-mode site.
