In Hostinger AI Builder’s manual mode, select the product section, then open Edit section → Layout → Image ratio. Choose Original, Square, Landscape, or Portrait, preview the page, and update the site when you are ready to publish the change.
Change the product image ratio on a product page
- In the editor, expand Online store, choose Product pages, and select the product you want to edit. Hostinger creates a product page when you create a product. See Hostinger’s manual-mode product-page guide.
- Select the product section on the page.
- Choose Edit section, then expand Layout.
- Under Image ratio, choose the proportion you want. Hostinger documents the available choices in its product image proportions guide.
- Preview the result. Update the website when you want the revised layout to appear on the live site.
Choose the ratio that fits your product images
| Option | What it does | When it may fit |

| Original | Keeps each image’s existing proportions without cropping. | Use it when preserving the full source image is more important than making every product frame the same shape. |
| Square | Displays images in a 1:1 frame. Hostinger also offers corner-rounding controls for this option, including a fully round image. | Can give a catalog with mixed source-image shapes a more consistent, grid-like presentation. |
| Landscape | Uses a wider, horizontal shape. | May suit products or source images that are naturally wider than they are tall. |
| Portrait | Uses a taller, vertical shape. | May suit products or source images that are naturally taller than they are wide. |
The last-column suggestions are practical ways to choose based on image shape, not a guarantee that a particular ratio improves sales or performance. If a selected frame crops an important part of a product, try Original or adjust the source image before using a fixed shape.
Prepare product images for desktop and mobile
Hostinger recommends product images of 900×900 pixels for all screen sizes. It says 600×600 pixels may result in slightly worse quality on tablets. These are Hostinger’s recommendations; the documentation does not identify a single optimal dimension for every image element. Its responsive design and image-size guidance explains that layouts adapt to the visitor’s device.

Set the ratio in the mobile layout
Hostinger provides a separate mobile editing mode for product-page layout. To change the image ratio there, switch to the mobile version in the editor, select the product section, choose Edit section, and set Image ratio under Layout. The same four options—Original, Square, Landscape, and Portrait—are available. Hostinger’s mobile product-page layout instructions call for updating the website after editing so the change appears online.
