To let someone work on one website without sharing unrelated services, use the website’s sharing control in hPanel and invite them by email. They must accept the invitation before access begins. If you need to share a wider set of services instead, use Account Sharing and select the scope carefully.

Invite a collaborator from the website list

  1. Sign in to hPanel and open Websites.
  2. Find the website you want to share and select its sharing control.
  3. Enter the collaborator’s email address and send the invitation.
  4. Ask the recipient to open the invitation email and follow its confirmation link. Access is granted after they accept.

This is the direct per-website route. Hostinger’s documented guide lists WordPress, Node.js, custom websites, and AI Builder sites in manual mode as supported for per-website sharing. Dashboard labels or availability may change, so check the current website row if the sharing control is not shown.

Use Account Sharing when the person needs broader access

  1. Open the profile menu in hPanel.
  2. Select Account Sharing, then choose Give Access.
  3. Select the services or particular websites to share, then send the invitation.
  4. The invitee must accept the email invitation to receive access.

Account Sharing can grant access to an entire hosting plan, while the Agency collaborator option is intended for access to one website. Choose the narrowest scope that gives the person what they need: a developer working on a single site generally does not need access to unrelated sites or services.

Check the website type before troubleshooting

There is an important exception: AI Builder in agentic mode supports sharing at the order level, not through the per-website sharing route. The supported modes and labels are documented in Hostinger’s collaborator instructions. If your dashboard differs, use the options shown for that specific site or order.

When you need files or database access only

If dashboard collaboration is unavailable or the person only needs technical access, Hostinger documents FTP access for files and MySQL access for databases. These are narrower technical routes, not substitutes for a collaborator account: FTP concerns file transfer, while MySQL access concerns the database. Hostinger’s access overview says FTP and MySQL account methods are not available for AI Builder sites. Confirm the required permissions and site-specific setup before sharing credentials.

For the distinction between plan-wide sharing, per-site Agency collaboration, and technical access, see Hostinger’s access-sharing overview.
