The 2026 Hisense U6SF Pro is a bright 4K Mini-LED Fire TV with strong contrast, local dimming and gaming features, but its motion handling is a significant weakness. It comes in 55-, 65-, 75-, 85- and 100-inch versions. It may suit a bright room or a buyer prioritizing HDR impact for the price; sports fans and motion-sensitive gamers should weigh the reviews’ criticism before choosing it.

This review covers the U6SF Pro specifically—not the non-Pro U6SF, which RTINGS says its testing does not apply to. RTINGS tested the 65-inch model and says its findings apply to the other sizes, while noting that exact panel differences by size are not fully known. RTINGS’ U6SF Pro review identifies the five variants as 55U6SF Pro, 65U6SF Pro, 75U6SF Pro, 85U6SF Pro and 100U6SF Pro; Hisense’s support listing identifies the 55-inch model.

What the Hisense U6SF Pro does well—and where it falls short

The clearest case for the U6SF Pro is its picture brightness and contrast. RTINGS reports strong contrast, brightness and local dimming. Tom’s Guide likewise found strong SDR and HDR brightness in its lab tests and said the anti-reflection treatment helped the screen hold up in a bright room. Bright highlights can still bloom against dark backgrounds, however, and brightness alone does not make the TV a strong choice for every kind of viewing.

The key reservation is motion. RTINGS describes motion performance as poor and also flags visible uniformity issues. That matters for fast sports, camera pans and games: the set’s high refresh-rate specifications do not guarantee clean motion. RTINGS’ overall recommendation is difficult because of these drawbacks, while Tom’s Guide’s review is more positive about brightness and glare handling.

Tom’s Guide lab results

In Tom’s Guide’s 2026 tests, the U6SF Pro measured 358 nits SDR brightness in the stated picture mode and 1,265 nits HDR brightness at a 10% window. The same review reported Delta-E 1.58, Rec. 709 coverage of 98.85%, UHDA-P3 coverage of 96.1%, Rec. 2020 coverage of 75.12%, and 9.3 ms input latency. These are publication-specific lab results, not guaranteed performance for every unit, setting or viewing environment. Tom’s Guide’s review and test results provide the measurement context.

For brightness context only, Tom’s Guide reported 196 nits SDR and 2,270 nits HDR for the TCL QM7L, 230 and 770 nits for the Samsung S85H, and 185 and 2,866 nits for the Hisense U7 in the same review’s comparison table. Those figures do not settle which television is better overall; motion, contrast, room conditions and other factors remain relevant.

How its picture and motion compare with alternatives

RTINGS’ comparisons highlight a recurring trade-off: the U6SF Pro can offer stronger picture characteristics, while competing sets handle motion better.

Which U6SF Pro screen size should you choose?

All five listed sizes share the U6SF Pro name. The 65-inch model is the one RTINGS tested; its findings are said to apply across the range, but the reviewer does not establish that every size has identical panel behavior. Choose by viewing distance, wall or stand space, and the current price for the exact variant—not by assuming the largest screen is automatically the best value.

Model Screen size Launch-era U.S. list / sale snapshot
55U6SF Pro 55 inches $849 / $547

85U6SF Pro 85 inches $1,999 / $1,099

Gaming features are extensive, but refresh rate is not the whole story

Hisense lists native 144Hz, VRR from 48–144Hz, ALLM and FreeSync Premium Pro. The set also has four HDMI ports, but only two are HDMI 2.1; the other two are HDMI 2.0. If you plan to connect multiple high-bandwidth gaming devices, consoles or a PC, count the HDMI 2.1 inputs you need before purchase. Hisense’s product Q&A and feature information lists the manufacturer’s gaming specifications.

RTINGS also reports a 240Hz boosted mode at reduced resolution. This is distinct from native 144Hz operation: do not treat the boosted figure as equivalent to running games at 240Hz in full 4K. More importantly, RTINGS’ motion criticism means the refresh-rate headline alone cannot answer whether this is a good fit for fast sports or competitive gaming.

Ports, mounting and room setup

Tom’s Guide reports four HDMI inputs—two HDMI 2.1 and two HDMI 2.0—along with USB 2.0 and 3.0, Ethernet, optical audio out, coaxial antenna input, Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth 5.4. The reported VESA mounting pattern is 400 × 300 mm. Check the exact TV’s mounting instructions, weight and the mount’s load rating and size compatibility before installation; a VESA pattern alone does not establish that a mount is suitable.

Hisense says models 65 inches and larger have two feet adjustable to wide or narrow positions. Confirm the stand arrangement and furniture width for the specific size you are buying. For a soundbar, verify the connection you intend to use and the soundbar’s compatibility; the TV’s reported ports include optical audio output, while the available information does not establish the selected soundbar’s features. Tom’s Guide’s port and mounting details report the port list and VESA pattern; Hisense’s product Q&A provides the stand and feature claims.

Built-in sound and Fire TV experience

The audio assessments differ. Tom’s Guide describes a 2.1-channel, 40-watt speaker system with a built-in subwoofer and Dolby Atmos; its reviewer found dialogue clear and the sound more substantial than typical thin-TV audio, but not a replacement for a soundbar or surround system in a serious home theater. RTINGS, by contrast, calls the internal speakers sub-par. If you mostly watch dialogue-led shows at moderate volume, the built-in system may be sufficient; if sound is a priority, assess it in your room or budget for external audio rather than assuming the reviews agree.

The interface is Fire TV with Alexa+ voice control, according to Hisense. Tom’s Guide says it includes major streaming services but criticizes the interface as clunky and the home screen as heavy on promoted content. That is a subjective usability trade-off: consider whether you already like Fire TV before choosing this set. Tom’s Guide’s review discusses its audio and interface assessment.

Who should buy the U6SF Pro?

It may fit if

  • You want a bright Mini-LED TV for a room with ambient light and value contrast and local dimming.
  • You want native 144Hz, VRR and other gaming features, and two HDMI 2.1 ports are enough for your device setup.
  • You are comfortable with Fire TV and do not expect the built-in speakers to provide a full home-theater experience.

Consider another option if

  • You watch lots of fast sports or play motion-sensitive games; RTINGS’ motion criticism is a material concern.
  • You are especially sensitive to uniformity issues or blooming around bright objects on dark backgrounds.
  • You need more than two HDMI 2.1 inputs or strongly prefer a less promoted, smoother smart-TV interface.

Before deciding, compare the current price of the exact size against alternatives, and weigh motion handling alongside brightness. Tom’s Guide’s comparison shows why peak HDR brightness by itself is not a reliable purchase verdict; RTINGS’ model comparisons make motion a particularly important differentiator.
