To keep Hindi videos playing continuously on YouTube Live, send local video files from an encoder such as OBS Studio: use a looping Media Source for one video, or a VLC Video source with Loop Playlist enabled for several. OBS and your computer must stay running, and you need rights to livestream every video and its music. If you do not want to keep a computer on, a cloud service such as StreamNeo can loop uploaded videos to YouTube.
Before you set up the stream
- Check live-stream eligibility. YouTube says the channel must be verified, have no live-stream restriction in the preceding 90 days, and the streamer must be at least 16. Enabling live streaming for the first time may take up to 24 hours. See YouTube’s encoder setup instructions and live-stream eligibility guidance.
- Prepare the files. Keep the videos on the computer that will run OBS and decide their playback order. This procedure uses local files; it does not take a YouTube watch-page playlist URL and turn it into a live stream.
- Confirm livestream rights. Make sure your permission covers both the video and all included audio, including music. Having access to a video, crediting its creator, or finding it in a public playlist does not establish permission to rebroadcast it.
Set up a continuous playlist in OBS
- Create a scene. In OBS Studio, create or select a scene for the broadcast.
- Choose the source that fits your files.
- One file: Add a Media Source, select the local video file, and check Loop. Loop is off by default, so turn it on.
- Several files: Add a VLC Video source, add the local files in the order you want, and make sure Loop Playlist is enabled. Install VLC first. OBS requires VLC libraries for this source; if you use 64-bit OBS, install 64-bit VLC.
- Check the scene before going live. Confirm that video and audio are present. Watch the first change between files: looping is supported, but the documentation does not promise gapless transitions.
OBS documents these sources and options in its Media Sources guide.
Connect OBS to YouTube Live
- Open YouTube Studio and select Create > Go Live.
- In the Stream tab, create or select a stream, then copy its stream URL and stream key.
- In OBS, open the stream settings and enter the YouTube stream URL and stream key. Treat the key as private: anyone with access to it may be able to send a feed to your stream.
- Start streaming in OBS. For a scheduled stream, wait for the preview in YouTube Live Control Room, then select Go live.
- Keep OBS open, the local files available, the computer powered on, and its internet connection stable for the planned broadcast.
YouTube’s encoder setup instructions explain the stream URL, key, and starting the encoder. YouTube says streams under 12 hours are automatically archived; that is not a promise that longer streams will be archived.
Choose a way to keep the stream running
| Option | Best suited to | What to account for |
|---|---|---|
| OBS Media Source loop | Repeating one local video | Enable Loop; the computer, OBS, file, and connection must remain available. |
| OBS VLC Video playlist | Repeating several local videos in a chosen order | Requires VLC and an always-running local computer; transitions are not documented as gapless. |
| StreamNeo | Looping uploaded videos without leaving a local computer running | Cloud service for YouTube prerecorded streams; review the current plan and your rights to the content. |
| Gyre | Considering another hosted option | YouTube lists Gyre as a cloud-based option for 24/7 prerecorded streaming; the listing does not establish its current price or uptime guarantees. |
YouTube’s verified encoder list includes cloud services such as Gyre. For StreamNeo, the practical distinction is that the videos are uploaded and looped from the cloud rather than played by a computer in your home.

Copyright and YouTube live-stream risks
YouTube’s livestream terms say creators represent and warrant that they have all necessary rights to exploit live content on Google services worldwide, including music licensing rights from artists, record labels, publishers, and other royalty participants. A video being available to watch on YouTube does not itself grant permission to rebroadcast it live.
YouTube says it scans live streams for third-party matches, including other live broadcasts. A match can replace the stream with a placeholder image and trigger a warning; if the matched content continues, YouTube may interrupt or terminate the stream. If a rights owner licensed you to use material, ask whether your channel must be added to the owner’s Content ID allowlist; a stream may still be interrupted without that allowlisting. See YouTube’s live-stream copyright guidance.

Rights depend on the actual video and audio and the applicable license. These general checks cannot determine whether a particular Hindi song, devotional recording, film clip, or other video is cleared for your channel.
Troubleshoot common setup problems
- VLC Video is missing from the source list: Install VLC and restart OBS. Match the VLC architecture to OBS; 64-bit OBS needs 64-bit VLC.
- The video plays once and stops: For a Media Source, check Loop. For a VLC Video playlist, check Loop Playlist.
- YouTube does not receive a signal: Check that OBS has the correct stream URL and key for the selected YouTube stream, then start the encoder output in OBS. If live streaming is newly enabled, activation may take up to 24 hours.
- The live stream shows a warning or is interrupted: Review the matched content and confirm that your rights cover livestream use. If the material is licensed, ask the owner about Content ID allowlisting.
- There is a pause or change at a file boundary: The documented setup does not guarantee gapless transitions. Check the files and observe playback at a transition before relying on the playlist unattended.
- The stream stops when you leave: OBS is a local encoder playing local files. The computer, OBS, and connection need to keep running; a cloud workflow avoids relying on your home computer.
Or let it run in the cloud
StreamNeo keeps uploaded videos looping on a YouTube channel from the cloud, so nothing has to stay on at home. Upload your recording or build a playlist, add your YouTube stream key once, and go live. It streams the files as uploaded, up to 4K at 60 fps, at one price per slot regardless of quality; it does not re-encode. If YouTube drops the stream, StreamNeo automatically recovers. The first day is free with no card required, once per account. Monthly pricing is $9.99 per month. See StreamNeo for details, then start your free first day.
