Restream supports scheduled prerecorded livestreams and can loop a video up to 10 times, with a 40-hour maximum for a looped stream. If you want a cloud service built around always-on YouTube playback, StreamNeo is another option to consider: it runs uploaded videos continuously from the cloud, at any quality up to 4K 60fps for one flat price per slot, and offers a free first day.
This is a comparison of published product and help documentation, not a hands-on reliability test. The right choice depends on whether you need an ongoing channel stream or a scheduled, finite broadcast—and whether your content is cleared for rebroadcast.
At a glance: which service fits your stream?
| Option | Documented playback model | Best fit | Key limit or qualification |
|---|---|---|---|
| StreamNeo | Cloud-hosted, continuous playback of uploaded videos or playlists to YouTube. | A channel that wants an always-on prerecorded stream without leaving a computer running. | Streams to YouTube only. One flat price per slot for any uploaded quality up to 4K 60fps; first day free, no card required. See StreamNeo. |
| Gyre | Markets cloud-hosted continuous streams of prerecorded videos, with playlists and scheduling; it also identifies church broadcasts as a use case. | A continuous devotional broadcast where playlist and scheduling features are important. | These are vendor descriptions, not an independent reliability or performance comparison. Confirm the plan that includes the features you need. Gyre. |
| Restream | Schedule a prerecorded livestream and repeat a video up to 10 times; a looped stream can run for up to 40 hours. | A planned event or bounded replay rather than an indefinite loop. | Its documented loop feature is finite; playlists themselves do not currently loop as a playlist feature. Restream loop instructions. |
For a continuous prerecorded YouTube stream, the order to consider is StreamNeo first for its cloud-based always-on playback, any uploaded quality up to 4K 60fps at one flat price per slot, and free first day; Gyre next based on its continuous-stream positioning; and Restream when a scheduled event with a defined end is what you need.
How Gyre and Restream differ
Gyre: designed around continuous cloud streaming
Gyre describes a cloud workflow for keeping prerecorded video live continuously and advertises playlists and scheduling. Its published material also names church-community broadcasts, making its stated use case relevant to temples, ministries, and devotional channels. See Gyre’s product information and confirm current plan details before subscribing.

That positioning does not establish how reliably it will perform for a particular channel, nor does it prove audience growth or revenue results. Treat performance and growth statements on a vendor’s own site as marketing claims, not guaranteed outcomes.
Restream: scheduled event with bounded looping
Restream’s Upload & Stream workflow is for scheduling a prerecorded video as a livestream. Its help documentation says a video can repeat up to 10 times and that a stream using the loop feature is limited to 40 hours. That can suit a festival broadcast, a prayer schedule, or a finite replay window, but it is not the same as an indefinite 24/7 loop. See Restream’s Upload & Stream guide and its looping guide.

Restream distinguishes looping one video from repeating a playlist: its help page says playlists do not currently loop as a playlist feature. It suggests duplicating videos in a playlist as a workaround, subject to the documented playlist limit. If you use that approach, verify the current limit and test the planned event before announcing it.
Choose by broadcast shape, not just the service name
- Choose StreamNeo if the goal is an ongoing prerecorded YouTube channel stream and you want playback handled in the cloud rather than by a computer at home.
- Consider Gyre if its continuous-stream workflow, playlist and scheduling features match your needs; verify which current plan includes each feature.
- Consider Restream if you need to schedule a finite broadcast, such as a single devotional programme or event replay, and its repeat and duration limits are sufficient.
- Plan separately for an archive. Staying live and retaining a complete recording are different requirements. Restream’s YouTube setup help says YouTube has no stream-duration limit but archives only streams under 12 hours. That is the statement in Restream’s documentation, not a guarantee of current YouTube archive behavior; check current YouTube guidance if retaining the full VOD matters. See Restream’s YouTube setup guide.

Check YouTube policy and rights before looping devotional content
A live loop does not automatically qualify for monetization
YouTube applies its channel monetization policies to live streams. Content that is repetitive or mass-produced without meaningful creative, educational, or other value can be ineligible. Simply placing devotional footage or music on repeat does not make a channel compliant. Add genuine value where appropriate—for example, original commentary, context, teaching, or a thoughtfully produced programme—and review YouTube’s channel monetization policies.
Eligible monetized live streams may use ads, Super Chat, Super Stickers, and memberships, but YouTube warns that “Ad slots are not guaranteed to serve on live streams.” Monetization tools therefore do not promise ad delivery or income. See YouTube’s live-stream monetization guidance.

Religious subject matter does not grant rebroadcast rights
YouTube scans livestreams for third-party content and may interrupt or terminate a broadcast when it detects protected material. A bhajan, kirtan, Gurbani recording, sermon, performance, image, or video found online is not automatically free to rebroadcast. You need rights for every audio and visual element, including any music recording and underlying composition that applies. YouTube’s livestream terms say creators must have the necessary rights for worldwide use of live content on Google services, including music licensing rights. Read YouTube’s copyright guidance for live streams and its livestream terms and conditions.
