Start by comparing the original video file with its YouTube playback. If both are out of sync, the source file is the likely place to fix it. If the file plays correctly but the live YouTube stream does not, check the stream’s health and configuration. If only one viewer or device has the problem, compare playback elsewhere before changing the source.

Find where the audio drift begins

Gyre describes its service as streaming prerecorded videos from its cloud. That means a creator’s computer is not automatically the cause of a defect in a broadcast already running from an uploaded file. First identify whether the mismatch is in the source, the live output, or one viewer’s playback.

Where the mismatch first appears What to check Next step
The original file and the YouTube output Audio/video alignment and track durations Edit and export a corrected source file, then upload it to Gyre again if appropriate. YouTube says tracks with different durations may not sync correctly. YouTube Help

Fix a sync problem in the source file

Play the original file locally and compare speech, music, or another clear audio cue with the corresponding on-screen action. If the mismatch is present there too, troubleshoot the file before changing YouTube settings.

  1. Check track lengths. YouTube advises that audio and video tracks have the same duration; a shorter or longer track may fail to sync correctly. Its guidance concerns uploaded-video troubleshooting, so it is relevant to a defective source file but is not a complete diagnosis for every live-stream or viewer-only problem.
  2. Correct the alignment in an editor. Adjust the audio and video tracks so their timing and ending match, then export a new file. YouTube names editing the tracks before upload as the remedy for this duration-related issue.
  3. Check the new export before replacing the Gyre file. Play it locally from beginning to end, including a point near the end where timing drift can be easier to notice. If it is still out of sync, correct the edit or export rather than treating a YouTube live setting as the fix.
  4. Prepare the file consistently. Gyre’s preparation page lists H.264, 1920×1080 or 1280×720 resolution, 3072–6144 kbps video bitrate, 128 kbps audio bitrate, and 30 FPS. It names Adobe Premiere, DaVinci Resolve, and Final Cut Pro as conversion options. These are Gyre’s listed preparation values, not a guarantee that those settings will repair synchronization. Check a live stream when the source is in sync

If the local source plays correctly but the live YouTube output does not, inspect the broadcast’s YouTube Live health or configuration information. Google’s Live Streaming API documentation lists issues involving audio codec, sample rate, bitrate, missing audio, video codec, and insufficient video ingestion. These messages can point to configuration or delivery problems; the documentation does not say that each one causes audio/video desynchronization.

For example, Google says insufficient video ingestion can cause buffering. That warning should be treated as an ingestion and smooth-streaming issue, not as proof of an audio-sync cause. YouTube Live Streaming API health guidance

Account for Gyre’s cloud workflow

Gyre says that prerecorded video files are uploaded to its storage and the outgoing stream runs from its server; the creator’s computer plays no part in that broadcast path. A local CPU, USB microphone, or cable fault should therefore not be the first assumption for a sync defect in an already-uploaded, cloud-hosted stream. Those devices can still affect recording or preparation of the source file. Gyre’s preparation guidance

Rule out viewer-side playback

If the original file and the live output appear correct for some viewers but not for one person, compare the YouTube playback on another browser or device. Also compare that playback with the original source. This separates a viewer-specific symptom from a bad source or broadcast. The reviewed YouTube guidance recommends cross-browser checks for certain browser/device display issues; it does not provide a specific correction for Gyre viewer-side audio sync.

What is not established about a Gyre sync fix

The official guidance covered here explains source-track duration, live-stream health, Gyre’s file-preparation values, and its cloud streaming model. It does not establish a Gyre-specific audio-delay control, a standard delay value, a typical cause, or one universal fix. No hardware purchase is supported as a general remedy; focus first on the source file, YouTube’s health details, and playback comparison.

  • Automatic recovery is included if YouTube drops the stream.
