A Newegg promotion reported on October 3, 2026, offered a $100 PlayStation Store gift card for $90 with promo code TEFF427. If the offer is still available, that credit can cover the U.S. PlayStation Store’s $99.99 pre-order for Grand Theft Auto VI: Ultimate Edition—so $90 is the reported cost of the wallet credit, not the game’s PlayStation Store price. The retailer promotion is limited-time and may end without notice.

How the $90 gift-card offer works

Notebookcheck reported that Newegg was selling a digital PlayStation Store card with a $100 face value for $90 at checkout when customers applied code TEFF427. The report also stated a limit of three cards per customer. Check Newegg’s current checkout page before buying: the report describes a limited-time offer, not a permanent price, and its availability may have changed.

#	Product	Price
1	$100 PlayStation Store Gift Card [Digital Code]	$100.00	Buy on Amazon
2	$25 PlayStation Store Gift Card [Digital Code]	$25.00	Buy on Amazon
3	$50 PlayStation Store Gift Card [Digital Code]	$50.00	Buy on Amazon
4	$10 -PlayStation Store Gift Card [Digital Code]	$10.00	Buy on Amazon
5	$75 PlayStation Store Gift Card [Digital Code]	$75.00	Buy on Amazon

At the reported price, you pay $90 for $100 of PlayStation Store wallet credit. The U.S. PlayStation Store’s Ultimate Edition pre-order is listed at $99.99, so that balance can cover the purchase and leave one cent. This is an effective $90 out-of-pocket cost for the credit used toward the pre-order; it is not a $90 game listing or a guaranteed discount that PlayStation applies directly to the game. See Notebookcheck’s October 3, 2026 deal report.

Check that the gift card matches your account

PlayStation gift-card credit can be used for eligible digital PlayStation Store purchases, including digital pre-orders. Sony Interactive Entertainment’s PlayStation gift-card FAQ explains eligible purchases. The card’s voucher code must match the region of the PlayStation account that redeems it; wallet funds and content cannot be transferred between accounts. A U.S. card offer is therefore suitable only if your account can redeem U.S. codes. See PlayStation Support’s wallet and voucher guidance for regional redemption details.
