There is not enough reliable information to name a winner yet. Google announced the Pixel 10a at ₹49,999 for its 8GB/256GB configuration, but that is a launch price—not a confirmed current offer. The India-market OPPO Reno 15 is harder to assess: published comparison sources disagree about whether it has launched in India and about its specifications. Until OPPO’s exact Indian model and price are confirmed, the Pixel is the better-documented choice, not a proven better phone.
Price and India availability: the comparison is not settled
Google announced the Pixel 10a at ₹49,999 in India, with availability beginning March 6, 2026 through the Google Store, Flipkart and major retailers. The cited comparison lists the price for an 8GB/256GB model, and Google’s current specifications page lists 8GB RAM and 256GB storage. Neither establishes today’s selling price, so check the live listing and seller before treating the phone as under ₹50,000.
The Reno 15 figures do not provide a dependable India-market match. 91mobiles lists an 8GB/256GB Reno 15 at ₹45,999 and says it is on sale in India; Gadgets 360 labels the Reno 15 as not launched in India. Those claims cannot both establish its current availability. Confirm the exact India SKU, storage configuration, warranty and price with OPPO or an authorised seller before comparing it as a phone you can buy.

What is confirmed about the Pixel 10a
Google’s official India materials give a solid baseline for the Pixel. It has a 6.3-inch display, a Tensor G4 processor, and rear cameras consisting of a 48MP wide camera and a 13MP ultrawide camera. These specifications identify the hardware; they do not establish how its photos or performance compare with the Reno 15 in everyday use.
Google lists the Pixel’s battery as 5,100mAh typical capacity, with 5,000mAh minimum capacity. It also advertises charging up to 50% in about 30 minutes when using a 45W USB-C PPS charger or higher; that charger is sold separately. The phone supports Qi-certified wireless charging. Google’s stated charging figure is conditional on the specified charger, not a comparison test against OPPO.

Google promises seven years of OS, security and Pixel Drops updates, counted from the Pixel 10a’s first availability on the Google Store in the US. That is a meaningful, clearly stated support commitment, but it is not a direct longevity comparison until OPPO’s policy for the exact Reno 15 variant is confirmed.

What is uncertain about the Reno 15
The conflicting comparison pages differ on several details that would normally decide this matchup. 91mobiles reports a 6.59-inch, 1.5K, 120Hz display, a 6,500mAh battery and 80W charging. Gadgets 360 instead lists a 6.32-inch, 1216×2640 display, a 6,200mAh battery and 80W charging. Gadgets 360 also lists a MediaTek Dimensity 8450 processor and Android 16 with ColorOS 16; the available 91mobiles comparison does not establish the chipset.
The rear-camera descriptions also differ between the two secondary sources. Without an official India product specification page tied to the exact model, it would be misleading to choose one set of claims or present a single Reno 15 spec sheet as verified. Ask which model number and configuration a listing refers to, and compare that information with OPPO’s own India documentation.

Which one should you buy?
Choose the Pixel 10a if you value a documented support promise
The Pixel is the more defensible choice if you want published, official details on its processor, cameras, battery and update commitment. Google’s seven-year promise is specific about the updates covered and how the period is measured. Buy only after confirming the current India price and the configuration in the listing.

Consider the Reno 15 only after confirming the India model
The Reno may appeal if OPPO confirms that the Indian variant offers the larger display, multi-camera hardware, battery capacity and charging figures suggested by secondary listings. Those advantages remain unverified here, and a larger listed battery does not by itself prove longer real-world battery life. Check official specifications, availability, price and OPPO’s update policy before choosing it over the Pixel.
Do not decide on camera megapixels alone
The Pixel’s 48MP wide and 13MP ultrawide camera specifications are confirmed by Google, but the Reno’s reported camera setup is disputed. There is no matched independent photo test establishing which phone takes better pictures. Resolution numbers alone cannot settle image quality.
Bottom line
At the evidence available, the Pixel 10a is the safer recommendation for a buyer who needs a verifiable India-market phone and a clearly stated software-support commitment. The ₹49,999 figure is Google’s announced launch price, not a confirmed current deal. The Reno 15 could be the better fit for hardware priorities such as display size or charging, but first verify the exact India SKU and its official specifications; the available comparison sources conflict too much to call it the winner.
