GDG Kolachi hosted a Karachi edition of Google I/O Extended 2025, featuring talks on AI and startups, community sessions, networking and a reported hands-on Gemini SDK workshop. The available sources do not establish that Karachi followed Islamabad chronologically: GDG Kolachi advertised its event for July 12, while the Islamabad listing covers July 12–13 in UTC.
What happened at Google I/O Extended Karachi 2025?
TechJuice’s recap describes a local developer-community event centered on Google I/O topics, with speaker sessions, a fireside chat, a workshop and networking. Its recap does not give the date, venue or attendance total. The event’s description as Google I/O Extended fits the Google Developer Groups platform’s account of these community-led gatherings: local events that bring Google I/O developer topics to attendees through talks, Q&A, expert presentations and networking. GDG Islamabad’s event listing provides that general description.
For Karachi logistics, a GDG Kolachi organizer post advertised the event for July 12, 2025, at NASTP in Karachi, from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Pakistan time. Those details come from the organizer post, not the TechJuice recap, and should be understood as advertised logistics. GDG Kolachi’s event post.

Who spoke, and what was on the program?
TechJuice’s recap names the speakers and sessions below. It does not provide a primary recording or transcript of the Karachi remarks, so these are reported program details rather than independently verified quotations.

The recap also mentions a networking lunch. It characterizes attendee reactions positively, but supplies neither attendance figures nor survey results, so it cannot establish turnout or quantify audience response. TechJuice’s Karachi recap.
Did Karachi take place after Islamabad?
Not according to the dates available in the event records. GDG Islamabad’s listing labels the event as Islamabad and gives a July 12–13, 2025 date range in UTC. GDG Kolachi advertised Karachi for July 12 in Pakistan time. Those dates may overlap; the evidence does not establish a sequence in which Islamabad happened first and Karachi followed.
Rank #2

There is also a geographic distinction in TechJuice’s Islamabad coverage: it says that event took place on July 12 at Pearl Continental Hotel, Rawalpindi. Rawalpindi should not be silently described as Islamabad city. The organizer listing and recap provide different levels of detail: the listing gives the July 12–13 UTC range and agenda, while TechJuice reports July 12 at the Rawalpindi hotel.
