The GLOCK G43X and G48 share a Slimline frame, the same listed height and width, and a standard 10-round magazine capacity. The G48 is longer and heavier, with a longer barrel and sight radius. GLOCK lists one Slim Sport/Combat holster for both models, but that does not establish fit across every holster or accessory setup.
What is the difference between the G43X and G48?
The main difference is slide length. In GLOCK’s 2023 Buyer’s Guide, the G48 measures 7.28 inches overall, while the G43X measures 6.50 inches. Both are 5.04 inches high and 1.10 inches wide in that guide.

The specifications show a longer G48 slide, but they do not establish which pistol conceals better or feels more comfortable across different people. Concealment depends on the wearer, clothing, carry position, holster and exact pistol configuration; there is no universal winner supported by the manufacturer figures.

Use the measurements as a starting point: the models have the same listed height and width, while the G48 is longer and heavier. Consider how those differences work with your preferred carry position and clothing, and evaluate the specific holster setup rather than relying on a general comfort ranking.
Do the G43X and G48 use the same holster?
GLOCK’s accessory page lists a “Sport/Combat holster slim for models G43, G43X and G48,” which establishes compatibility for that named holster and those listed models. It is not proof that every third-party holster fits both pistols.

For any other holster, check the maker’s exact model list and configuration requirements. Do not assume a holster listed for a standard model will fit an MOS version or a pistol with a mounted light or other attachments. GLOCK describes MOS versions as having an optic cut and slim mounting rail; the company says the optic cut is non-standard and requires a compatible micro-optic. Confirm the precise pistol and attachments with the holster maker.
What should you choose?
If the shorter overall length is the deciding factor, the G43X has the smaller listed length. If you prefer the longer barrel and sight radius, the G48 has those specifications, along with additional listed weight. Both have the same listed height, width and standard 10-round capacity, so decide based on the dimensions and holster configuration that work for you—not an assumed capacity or universal concealment advantage.
