If Ghost of Yōtei DLC is missing, first check whether it was bought on the account you’re using and whether it has actually downloaded. Then check the game’s Add-Ons or Manage Game Content screens, confirm disc and account regions match if you own the game on disc, and look for any in-game unlock requirement. An add-on missing from PS5 menus is a different problem from installed content that has not appeared in the game yet.
First identify where the DLC is missing
Check whether the add-on is absent from the PS5’s content and download menus, or whether it appears installed but is unavailable while playing. A completed purchase does not, by itself, confirm that content has been downloaded or that it is available at the point in the game you are checking.
- Missing from PS5 menus: Check the purchasing account, transaction, game edition, and installation state.
- Installed but not visible in-game: Check the item’s description for an unlock checkpoint, required location, inventory, or mailbox.
PlayStation Support notes that some additional content unlocks only “following a checkpoint or in a certain location.”

Make sure the PSN account currently signed in is the one that bought or redeemed the add-on. Check that account’s transaction history to confirm the purchase completed. A different account may be active, or the transaction may not have completed as expected.

Also check that the DLC belongs to the edition or bundle you own. Read the specific item’s description before considering another purchase; bundles can include content with different download requirements.
Find and download the add-on on PS5
Use either of these PS5 paths to see whether the content is installed or available to download:

- Open Game Library > Your collection, select Ghost of Yōtei, and inspect Add-Ons.
- Alternatively, highlight Ghost of Yōtei on the home screen, press the Options button, and select Manage Game Content.
If the purchased add-on is listed but not installed, select it and download it. Some bundled content is delivered as separate packs, so check for each item rather than assuming one download installs everything.

Check disc and account regions
If you play from a disc, its licensed country or region must match the country or region of the PSN account used for Store add-ons. Check the region printed on the game box and compare it with the account’s country or region information. PlayStation says an account’s country or region cannot be changed.

Check where the content appears in Ghost of Yōtei
Some add-ons are not separate game modes or menu entries. Depending on the item, it may become available only after a checkpoint, at a particular location, in your inventory, or through an in-game mailbox. Check the add-on description for its delivery or unlock details, then meet any stated requirement in the game.
Restart the PS5 and restore licenses
- Restart the PS5 and check the game and add-on again.
- To restore licenses, open Settings > Users and Accounts > Other > Restore Licenses, select the relevant game or content if prompted, and follow the on-screen steps.
PlayStation Support says restoring licenses “won’t affect your data.” It can help when a game or add-on cannot be located.

Update the game and console before reinstalling
Check for a PS5 system software update and a Ghost of Yōtei game update. This is particularly relevant to Echoes of Sekigahara and Most Wanted: the US PlayStation Store Complete Edition listing says those items are included through patch v2.0 or later, and that patch-dependent content requires an internet connection and a PlayStation account to download. The listing is US-specific, so it does not establish availability or timing in every territory.
If the content still does not work after checking ownership, installation, region, unlock conditions, licenses, and updates, KOEI TECMO’s general PS5 DLC guidance suggests rebuilding the database in Safe Mode and then reinstalling the game and DLC. Treat those as later troubleshooting steps, not the first response to a missing add-on.

If the transaction is confirmed and the content remains unavailable, contact PlayStation Support with the transaction details and a screenshot or video showing the missing content. For a third-party title, PlayStation also advises checking with the publisher about known issues.
The available guidance here is general PS5 troubleshooting combined with the current US Store description; it does not confirm a Ghost of Yōtei-specific outage or defect.
