For a new buyer, the Ghost of Yōtei Complete Edition bundles the PS5 game, its new story expansion and Most Wanted mode, Legends co-op, and listed Digital Deluxe items. In the US PlayStation Store listing accessed October 3, 2026, it costs $69.99; the Complete Edition Upgrade for existing owners is listed at $14.99. Both prices are regional and can change. Which to buy depends chiefly on whether you already own the game and want the two new paid additions.

This narrative expansion moves between the present and flashbacks to Atsu’s time on the mainland. It introduces Nagato, a previously unseen valley associated with the Snake and Vipers, and explores Atsu’s past during the Battle of Sekigahara. Sucker Punch’s Andrew Goldfarb described it as “our new narrative expansion” in the August 12, 2026 announcement.

Most Wanted
Most Wanted is a single-player roguelike combat-survival mode. You select bounties, fight enemy waves and minibosses, and earn perks and upgrades. PlayStation lists four playable characters: Atsu, Oyuki, Nagato, and Jin. The PlayStation UK mode page describes the mode.
Legends
Legends is online co-op for up to four players. PlayStation Plus is required for online multiplayer and is sold separately, according to the Complete Edition announcement.

Is the Complete Edition worth it if you already own the game?
If you own the base game, the official US listing offers a $14.99 Complete Edition Upgrade, according to the PlayStation Store listing accessed October 3, 2026. Sucker Punch says the upgrade is for existing owners and adds Echoes of Sekigahara and Most Wanted. Compare the upgrade with your interest in those two paid additions; the $69.99 Complete Edition is the package listing that also includes the base game and Deluxe items, so it is not the directly comparable option for someone who already owns the game. Prices may vary by region and change.

The patch was listed for October 1 globally, with October 2 availability in some territories, including Asia, Australia, and New Zealand. The official announcement distinguishes these general patch features from paid Complete Edition content.

Can you get the Complete Edition on disc?
The official PlayStation UK page confirms a Standard Edition Blu-ray option, but the official pages reviewed do not confirm a physical Complete Edition disc. Do not assume a marketplace listing for a disc includes the Complete Edition’s expansion, mode, or digital extras. Check the specific listing and region; the PlayStation Store is the source for the digital Complete Edition and Upgrade.

Is the Sakai Armor still an early-unlock bonus?
No. The Sakai Armor early-unlock promotion ended September 30, 2026, so it should not be treated as an active offer. The cutoff is noted in the PlayStation.Blog announcement and PlayStation UK page.
