The Samsung Galaxy M36 5G is the stronger on-paper pick for a sharper AMOLED display and camera hardware with optical image stabilization. The Galaxy F70e 5G offers a larger rated battery, an IP54 rating and lower launch-era effective prices. Both have 120Hz displays, 25W charging, 5G and Samsung-announced six-year software support. Their specifications do not establish which is faster, takes better photos or lasts longer in everyday use.

Which phone has the better display and cameras?
Display: M36 has the higher stated resolution
Both screens are 6.7 inches and list a 120Hz refresh rate, but the panel specifications differ. The M36 has a FHD+ Super AMOLED display, while the F70e has an HD+ PLS LCD. That gives the M36 the clear advantage on stated resolution and panel type; it does not, by itself, describe every aspect of viewing quality.

Rear and selfie cameras: M36 has more listed hardware
The M36’s 50MP OIS triple-camera setup includes optical image stabilization, while the F70e lists a 50MP main camera and a 2MP depth camera and does not list OIS on Samsung’s product page. The M36 also lists a 13MP front camera against the F70e’s 8MP. These specifications favor the M36 on paper, but megapixel counts and camera features cannot establish which phone produces better photos or selfies without comparable testing.
Battery, performance and durability differences
Battery: F70e has the larger rated capacity
The F70e’s 6,000mAh rated battery is larger than the M36’s 5,000mAh battery. Both list 25W charging. Capacity alone cannot predict how long either phone lasts: usage, network conditions, settings and other factors affect battery life.

Performance: chipset names are not a head-to-head result
The M36 uses Samsung’s Exynos 1380 (5nm) and includes a vapor cooling chamber; the F70e uses MediaTek’s Dimensity 6300. The listed components do not establish comparative everyday speed, gaming performance or heat behavior.
Durability: the published claims are different
Samsung cites Gorilla Glass Victus+ protection for the M36. For the F70e, Samsung lists IP54 water- and dust-resistance and a leather-finish back. An IP54 rating is not a claim that a phone is waterproof, and the cited M36 source set does not establish an IP rating for that model.

Samsung announced six years of support for each phone, though the launch wording differs: the M36 announcement specifies six generations of Android upgrades and six years of security updates; the F70e announcement says six years of OS and security updates. The M36 launched with One UI 7 and the F70e with One UI 8. Check Samsung’s current regional support information for the latest status rather than assuming a launch-era software version remains current.

Check the exact RAM/storage variant, seller and offer conditions before buying. Samsung named Samsung.com, Amazon and select retail stores for the M36, and Samsung.com, Flipkart and select retail stores for the F70e at launch; availability and current offers can change.

Which one should you choose?
- Choose the M36 if a FHD+ Super AMOLED screen, OIS camera hardware or the higher stated selfie-camera resolution matters most to you.
- Consider the F70e if you prioritize a larger rated battery, an IP54 rating, a leather-finish back or its lower launch-era effective price.
- Compare current prices before deciding. Launch prices are historical, and the launch offers do not establish which phone is cheaper now. Check matching configurations and live seller terms.
