The Galaxy A57 5G costs less and covers the essentials, while the Galaxy S25+ is Samsung’s higher-tier S-series phone. Samsung’s US launch-era reference prices put the A57 at $549.99 and the S25+ 256 GB at $999.99—a $450 difference. Those are historical US reference points, not current quotes; actual prices vary by market, configuration, seller, and date.
How the A57 and S25+ differ
This is a choice between product tiers, not a like-for-like refresh. The A57 is the lower-priced A-series option; the S25+ sits in Samsung’s higher-tier S series. The specifications available here establish several A57 details, but do not provide a complete model-by-model S25+ specification table. Avoid treating missing S25+ entries as evidence that a feature is absent.
US launch-era price difference
| Phone and configuration | Samsung US reference price | Price basis |
|---|---|---|
| Galaxy A57 5G | $549.99 | Samsung-announced US starting price; availability announced for April 9, 2026. |
| Galaxy S25+ 256 GB | $999.99 | US MSRP in Samsung’s price file effective March 2025. |
The difference between those two references is $450. It is not a current-price comparison, and the configurations are not established as equivalent in storage. For a purchase decision, compare the same country, currency, seller type, and date; match storage where possible. Separate unlocked prices from carrier financing, trade-in credits, and temporary discounts.

Display
Samsung lists a 6.7-inch Super AMOLED Plus display with FHD+ resolution (1080 × 2340) and a 120 Hz refresh rate. The published figures describe size, resolution, and refresh rate; they do not by themselves establish comparative brightness or real-world image quality.

Cameras
The rear system comprises a 50 MP main camera with optical image stabilization (OIS), a 12 MP ultrawide, and a 5 MP macro camera. The front camera is 12 MP. These lens types serve different framing needs; megapixel counts alone do not establish that one phone takes better photos, and no comparable camera test is established here.
Battery and charging
Samsung lists a typical 5,000 mAh battery and 45 W wired charging in its regional materials. Capacity and charging wattage are specifications, not a standardized battery-endurance result. Package contents can vary by region, so check the exact SKU before assuming a charger is included or needs to be purchased.

Software support
Samsung’s US A57 product page promises six OS upgrades and six years of security updates. That is the published support wording for the A57; it does not establish how quickly updates arrive, and the available figures here do not support a direct duration comparison with the S25+.
What the specifications can—and cannot—settle
The published A57 figures make it possible to assess its screen, camera layout, battery capacity, charging specification, and stated support policy. They do not settle comparative speed, photo quality, or time between charges. No comparable benchmark, camera shootout, or standardized endurance result is established in the cited manufacturer materials, so a specification-only comparison cannot fairly declare a real-world performance winner.

Which phone makes more sense?
Choose the A57 if
- You want Samsung’s lower-priced A-series option and its listed 120 Hz display, multi-camera arrangement, and 5,000 mAh typical battery.
- The price available in your market is more important than unverified performance differences.
Consider the S25+ if
- You are shopping for Samsung’s higher-tier S-series model and are willing to assess its features against the actual price and configuration offered where you live.
- You can verify that its additional cost matches features you personally need; the historical US reference prices alone do not prove today’s value gap.
Samsung’s official product and launch pages are the appropriate places to confirm regional specifications, availability, and current offers: Galaxy A57 specifications, Galaxy S25 series specifications, Galaxy A57 US launch information, and Galaxy S25 launch information.
