Will it fit your kitchen?
The 2018 specification sheet gives the cabinet dimensions as 1715 mm high, 680 mm wide and 695 mm deep without the handle. Depth including the handle is 730 mm. With the door open to 90 degrees, the stated depth is 1318 mm.

Measure the cavity and the path from the entrance to the kitchen, including turns and narrow doorways. Check that the door can swing without striking nearby cabinetry or an island, and allow the specified ventilation clearances. Confirm the installation requirements against the documentation supplied with the particular unit, especially if it is used or old stock.

The manufacturer’s 2018 sheet lists four adjustable glass shelves, two humidity-controlled crisper bins, covered and full-width door shelves, and LED lighting. The freezer has three clear bins and two ice trays. Fisher & Paykel describes ActiveSmart Foodcare as adjusting temperature, airflow and humidity in response to how the fridge is used. That is the manufacturer’s product description, not independent evidence of food-storage performance. The listed features likewise do not tell you how evenly or consistently the appliance held temperature in a test.

CHOICE lists the E442BRWFD5 as discontinued and gives 2016 as its test year. Its public page shows the three-star rating and 428 kWh/year claimed use, but the Expert Rating and detailed lab results are members-only on that page: CHOICE’s E442BRWFD5 listing.

Is the E442BRWFD5 discontinued, and what should you check before buying?
CHOICE marks the model as discontinued. That does not prove that every unit has disappeared from sale, but any listing may be for used, refurbished or remaining stock. Verify the exact model code and condition with the seller rather than relying on a title or a similar-looking product photo.

Those are figures for that different model code—not the white E442BRWFD5, whose 2018 sheet lists 442L gross, split into 307L refrigerator and 135L freezer.
