FingerLaserX is a ground-up revival of the 2012 mobile shooter FingerLaser, built around aiming and firing lasers with touch gestures. Its iPhone release is listed as expected on 20 October 2026, and coverage also announces an Android version. As of 3 October 2026, it has not yet launched.
When does FingerLaserX come out?
Apple’s Ireland App Store listing gives an expected iPhone release date of 20 October 2026. Pocket Gamer’s 2 October report and a 30 September report by Bahamut GNN carried by PChome Online News also point to a 20 October global release. These are announced dates, not confirmation that the game has become available; the App Store date is explicitly marked expected.
What is FingerLaserX?
FingerLaserX revisits FingerLaser, which Pocket Gamer says first appeared in 2012. The outlet describes the new game as rebuilt from the ground up by the original creator. Apple identifies the developer as WeiTing Weng. The available descriptions establish a return to finger-driven laser shooting, rather than a direct technical comparison between the two releases.

How do you play?
The reported core loop is to defend a base from successive waves of invading enemies. Swipe or press and flick a finger to fire; holding a touch charges a more powerful shot or energy bomb. The game is described as adding upgrades, power-ups, missions, and bosses as the attacks escalate.

Apple’s developer-provided store description lists five laser elements, nine tactical gears, 15 enemy types, and more than 40 missions, along with rankings and player statistics. Those are store-listed feature counts, not independently tested figures. The description also says that adding fingers puts more lasers on the field, with the number that can be held at once increasing as the player levels up.
Which phones will run it?
iPhone
The Ireland App Store listing specifies iPhone and iOS 15.0 or later. Availability and any storefront details may vary by country.

Pocket Gamer reports an Android release alongside iOS, but a direct Google Play listing was not verified. Check the Play Store in your region for current availability rather than assuming the announced platform release is already live.

Apple lists the iPhone app as free to download with optional in-app purchases. Pocket Gamer describes the game as free-to-play and says ads are opt-in. That coverage does not establish that the same advertising or purchase setup will apply in every region or on every platform. Apple’s listing shows coin packs and boosts, but its displayed prices are specific to the Ireland storefront.

What does the App Store say about privacy?
Apple’s Ireland listing says the developer indicated that data may be used for tracking and other purposes, including location, identifiers, and usage data. Apple also states that this developer-provided privacy information has not been verified by Apple; review the listing’s privacy section for the current disclosure before downloading.
