Famelack is a free browser-based directory of live TV, online radio, and webcams. Instead of opening a streaming app and searching for a specific show, you can pick a country on its interactive globe, browse by category, or choose Random and see where the streams take you. That open-ended browsing is what makes it feel like channel surfing again—but the listings link to external feeds, so availability and playback vary.

What Famelack is—and what it isn’t

Famelack is a discovery directory, not a conventional subscription streaming library. Its website presents live TV alongside radio stations and webcams, with browsing organized around places and categories. The service says the project was previously called TV.Garden and expanded beyond television when it became Famelack. Famelack’s official site says no account, signup, or subscription is required, and that it does not currently offer an official app or APK.

The “channel surfer” appeal comes from the way you find something to watch: start with a country, category, or the Random option rather than a show title. You may land on a channel you would not have searched for by name. A September 26, 2026 ResearchBuzz roundup described the MakeUseOf article behind this topic as an author expecting to sample international live TV, then hopping between channels without a destination. That is the roundup’s description of the article’s experience, not a guarantee of what every visitor will encounter.

How to browse Famelack

Choose a country on the globe

Use the interactive globe or country navigation to explore listings associated with a particular place. This is useful when you want to see what is available from a region without knowing a station’s name in advance.

Browse by category

Choose a category when you have a loose preference—such as a kind of programming—rather than a particular channel. Famelack also includes radio and webcam listings, so browsing is not limited to television.

Try Random

The Random option is the closest match to old-fashioned channel flipping: it offers a way to let the directory choose what you see next. It is discovery, not a recommendation system that promises a particular genre or level of quality.

What happens when you select a stream

Famelack says it does not host or restream the TV channels, radio stations, or webcam feeds. Instead, the browser connects to publicly available external sources. The TV directory draws primarily on the IPTV-org community project and other public sources; Famelack says it applies technical and playback checks to TV listings. It describes its radio and webcam directories as curated in-house. These checks do not make the external feeds part of Famelack or guarantee that a listing will play for you.

Because the selected stream comes from a third party, the experience can differ from one channel to another. A stream may be offline, have moved to a new address, be restricted in your location, or fail in your browser. Famelack says it may remove links that stop working or no longer meet its requirements. Treat each listing as a route to an external feed, not a promise of uninterrupted or universally available viewing. Famelack’s FAQ explains the distinction and the service’s stated limits.

Privacy and saved favorites

Famelack says favorites are saved locally in your browser rather than sent to its servers. That statement applies to favorites; it does not mean that using the website involves no data processing. The service notes that external embedded content and delivery infrastructure can involve connections to third parties and limited technical information. Consult its privacy policy for the service’s details.

Who will enjoy it

Famelack suits people who like browsing live channels without first deciding what to watch, especially when exploring broadcasts from different places is part of the fun. It is less suited to someone who expects a polished, unified catalog with dependable playback for every listing: the directory points to external streams, and their access and reliability are not under Famelack’s complete control. You can try it directly in a browser without signing up or installing an app.
