There is not enough comparable benchmark evidence to name an overall winner between Exynos 2600 and Google Tensor G5. Samsung’s chip has a published 10-core CPU and Xclipse 960 graphics, while Google positions Tensor G5 around Pixel features and on-device AI. Their manufacturers’ performance claims compare each chip with its own predecessor—not with each other.
For buyers, the practical choice is between the complete phones that use these processors. The exact Galaxy model and regional chipset, as well as the Pixel’s camera, software, price, and support, matter more than an unsupported claim that one chip is faster.
How do the specifications compare?
The manufacturers publish different levels of detail. Samsung identifies Exynos 2600’s CPU configuration and graphics features; Google’s Tensor G5 announcement emphasizes generational gains and Pixel capabilities rather than a full CPU core-and-clock table.
Recommended Free Tools
| Specification | Exynos 2600 | Google Tensor G5 |
|---|---|---|
| Manufacturing process | Samsung identifies a 2 nm gate-all-around (GAA) process. | Google identifies TSMC’s 3 nm process. |
| CPU | 10 cores using Arm C1-Ultra and C1-Pro cores. | Google’s cited announcement does not provide a full core-and-clock specification. |
| Graphics | Xclipse 960; Samsung highlights ray tracing and Exynos Neural Super Sampling (ENSS). | Google’s cited announcement focuses on Pixel imaging and AI rather than a detailed GPU specification. |
| AI hardware and features | Samsung describes NPU and on-CPU AI enhancements. | Google highlights the TPU, Gemini Nano, and Pixel features including Magic Cue, Voice Translate, and camera capabilities. |
| Phone association | Notebookcheck lists Galaxy S26-family devices with Exynos 2600. | Google says Tensor G5 powers the Pixel 10 series. |
Process-node labels are manufacturer-reported and do not, by themselves, establish which chip is faster or more efficient. The companies’ claims also use different baselines and tests, so their percentages should not be compared as if they came from one shared benchmark.

Which is faster?
The available published figures do not establish a direct winner. Samsung says Exynos 2600 CPU performance is up to 39% higher than Exynos 2500. Google says Tensor G5 has an average CPU that is 34% faster than Tensor G4, based on Google internal tests on pre-production devices and averaged across Pixel 10 phones. These are separate vendor-reported generational comparisons, not Exynos 2600-versus-Tensor G5 results.
What the available benchmarks show
Notebookcheck’s current Exynos 2600 entries report Geekbench 6.7.1 results across listed Galaxy devices ranging from 3,060 to 3,209 in single-core and 10,388 to 11,034 in multi-core. The entries also vary by device; they are database submissions, not a controlled lab comparison.

Geekbench’s Android chart includes Tensor G5-powered Pixel 10 devices and uses user-submitted results from devices with at least five unique submissions. Its chart context does not match Notebookcheck’s specifically identified Geekbench 6.7.1 Exynos results. The scores should not be subtracted or presented as a head-to-head test. CPU-Monkey’s comparison page likewise says it has no comparable benchmark results for these chips.

Sustained performance and power measurements would also help answer questions that a short CPU benchmark cannot.

Which processor is better for gaming?
Samsung makes the clearer gaming-specific feature claims: Exynos 2600 has Xclipse 960 graphics, supports ray tracing, and includes ENSS, an AI-based feature for resolution upscaling and frame generation. Samsung says ray-tracing performance is up to 50% higher than its predecessor and describes ENSS as delivering up to three times smoother gameplay. Both figures are Samsung claims against its own earlier products or technology; neither is a measured comparison with Tensor G5.
The available Google announcement does not provide a comparable Tensor G5 GPU specification or matched game tests. That is not evidence that Tensor G5 is slower. Without same-game testing on actual phones—including sustained frame rates, image quality, temperature, and power draw—the gaming winner is unestablished.

Which chip has better AI?
Tensor G5’s appeal is closely tied to Google’s Pixel features. Google says it is designed to run Gemini Nano on-device and names Magic Cue, Voice Translate, and Tensor-enabled camera features among its use cases. Google reports a TPU up to 60% more powerful than Tensor G4. It also says Gemini Nano runs 2.6 times faster and 2 times more efficiently for the cited Pixel Screenshots and Recorder use cases than on Tensor G4, based on internal pre-production testing.

Those numbers do not show which chip performs AI tasks better overall. The vendors cite different hardware, use cases, baselines, and test conditions. For a phone buyer, whether the features you want are available and useful on the specific handset is more actionable than comparing percentages from unrelated tests.
Which phone should you buy?
You cannot buy either processor as a standalone product. Compare the actual Pixel 10 or Galaxy S26-family phone available to you, and confirm the Galaxy’s processor in your region before purchasing. A model name alone may not settle which chipset a particular regional version uses.
Quick Recap
- Choose by features: Check the camera capabilities and on-device tools you will use, including Google’s Pixel AI features or Samsung’s gaming-oriented features.
- Check the exact configuration: Verify the processor and other specifications for the specific model and region, rather than assuming every phone in a family is identical.
- Compare the whole phone: Consider price, display, battery life, camera system, software support, and availability alongside the processor.
- Use matched tests if speed is decisive: Look for results that name the phone models, benchmark version, software, power mode, thermal conditions, and repeat count. A chip-level claim or a mixed database chart is not a substitute.
