Exynos 2500 has the newer published design, and third-party aggregate benchmarks currently score it ahead of Exynos 2400e. But the gap is not a clean prediction of how two phones will perform: the samples are uneven, and Samsung’s own improvement percentages compare Exynos 2500 with Exynos 2400—not specifically with 2400e.
How the Exynos 2500 and 2400e designs differ
Samsung’s published Exynos 2500 specifications describe a 3nm Gate All Around (GAA) process, fan-out wafer-level packaging (FOWLP), a ten-core CPU and a customized Xclipse 950 GPU based on AMD RDNA 3. Samsung describes the CPU as a 1+7+2 arrangement and identifies the Arm Cortex-X925 among its core designs. The company’s product page says: “The Exynos 2500 has adopted the ultra-modern Arm® Cortex®-X925 and has ten cores in a 1+7+2 arrangement.” Samsung Semiconductor’s Exynos 2500 product page does not provide a detailed breakdown of every core model in that arrangement.
Samsung’s Exynos 2400 product page describes that chip as a deca-core design made on a third-generation 4nm low-power process and also mentions FOWLP. That is information about Exynos 2400, not a complete specification sheet for Exynos 2400e. Samsung’s reviewed official pages do not establish that every Exynos 2400 specification also applies to the 2400e. Samsung’s Exynos 2400 page is useful context, but should not be treated as a substitute for 2400e-specific details.

What the available benchmarks say
NanoReview’s displayed processor aggregates favor Exynos 2500. These are third-party comparison-page figures, not results from a controlled, same-device test; sample counts differ substantially between chips. On those displayed aggregates, Exynos 2500 is about 16% higher in AnTuTu 11, 12% higher in Geekbench 6 single-core, and 23% higher in Geekbench 6 multi-core. These are differences between the comparison page’s scores, not a guarantee of the same advantage in a particular phone. The small 2500 sample counts—especially fewer than three Geekbench 6 results—make the displayed averages less conclusive than a larger, balanced test set.
Why phone benchmarks do not settle the chip comparison
Tom’s Guide tested the Galaxy S24 FE against the Galaxy S25 FE in 2025. The S24 FE uses Exynos 2400e, but the S25 FE uses Exynos 2400—not Exynos 2500. The results therefore illustrate handset-level variability; they are not a direct 2500-versus-2400e comparison. Samsung’s 2026 first-quarter interim report likewise identifies Exynos 2400e in the Galaxy S24 FE and Exynos 2400 in the Galaxy S25 FE. Tom’s Guide’s Galaxy S25 FE review reports these results:

Those phone scores vary by test: the S24 FE result is higher in single-core, while the S25 FE result is higher in multi-core and graphics. Differences in cooling, firmware, memory and test conditions can affect handset results, so these numbers cannot isolate the performance of the processors themselves. For a buying decision, look for tests of the exact phone you are considering, especially sustained gaming or other long workloads, rather than assuming a chip aggregate guarantees a particular frame rate or battery life.

Samsung says the Exynos 2500 NPU can reach a maximum 59 TOPS. It also advertises a 39% improvement in AI performance and a 15% improvement in big-core performance over its predecessor. Samsung’s footnote identifies that predecessor as Exynos 2400, says the AI figure is based on internal testing, and cautions that performance can vary with operating conditions. These percentages are therefore not measured improvements over Exynos 2400e. Samsung’s Exynos 2500 page describes the company’s claims and qualifications.

The published 3nm GAA process is a newer process designation than the 4nm process Samsung lists for Exynos 2400, but that alone does not establish how much longer a 2400e phone will last per charge. Battery capacity, display, software, modem use, cooling and workload all affect a phone’s real-world efficiency; the available evidence does not provide a controlled 2500-versus-2400e battery comparison.
Samsung lists 5G NR, non-terrestrial network (NTN) capability, Bluetooth 5.4 and Wi-Fi 7 for Exynos 2500. It gives maximum downlink capability figures of up to 9.6 Gbps for FR1 and 12.1 Gbps for FR2. These are chip-level capabilities, not guarantees that a phone maker will enable every feature or that a user will reach those speeds. The reviewed official information does not provide a complete 2400e feature-by-feature comparison.

Which chip looks faster?
On published architecture and the current third-party aggregate scores, Exynos 2500 is the stronger-looking design: it has the newer stated process, a newer graphics generation, and higher displayed AnTuTu and Geekbench aggregates. The evidence supports that directional comparison, not a precise, universal performance margin. Uneven and small sample counts, the lack of a controlled same-device test, and Samsung’s Exynos 2400 baseline for its percentage claims all limit how far the numbers can be generalized.
