The Exynos 2400 is a 10-core Samsung mobile processor used in some Galaxy S24 models. It pairs Arm Cortex-X4, Cortex-A720, and Cortex-A520 CPU cores with Samsung’s Xclipse 940 GPU, which Samsung says is based on AMD RDNA 3. Available benchmark results come from specific Galaxy S24 and S24+ test devices—not from a universal chip score—and the S24 family’s processor varies by market.

Exynos 2400 specifications

UL’s device record for the Galaxy S24 with Exynos 2400 lists this CPU and GPU configuration. It describes that handset record, rather than serving as a complete independent silicon datasheet.

Component Specification
CPU cores 10 total: 1× Arm Cortex-X4 at 3.2 GHz; 2× Cortex-A720 at 2.9 GHz; 3× Cortex-A720 at 2.6 GHz; 4× Cortex-A520 at 1.95 GHz
GPU Samsung Xclipse 940
Operating system listed Android 14 for the Galaxy S24 record

Samsung Semiconductor’s Exynos 2400 product page describes the Xclipse 940 as based on AMD RDNA™ 3 and promotes hardware-accelerated ray tracing. Samsung also says the chip supports display refresh rates up to 120 Hz at 4K. That is a chip capability claim; it does not mean every Exynos 2400 phone has a 4K, 120 Hz panel.

Samsung characterizes the GPU as designed to make gaming more immersive. That is vendor positioning, not independent evidence of a particular game’s frame rate or sustained performance.

Exynos 2400 benchmark results

Notebookcheck’s benchmark tables report results for individual Galaxy S24 and S24+ test devices. These examples are tied to the stated handset, memory configuration, and benchmark version; they should not be treated as guaranteed results for every phone using the chip.

The S24 and S24+ figures are not a controlled comparison of chip variants. Cooling, firmware, benchmark version, ambient conditions, run-to-run variation, and handset or memory configuration can all influence a result. The reviewed benchmark tables do not establish one standardized score as the definitive Exynos 2400 performance rating.

Which Galaxy S24 models use Exynos 2400?

The processor in the Galaxy S24 family varies by market: Samsung lists Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 or Exynos 2400 for the family. Check the exact model and regional variant before interpreting a benchmark or buying a phone. Samsung’s first-quarter 2026 interim report documents the family’s platform variation.

Samsung Galaxy S24 5G, US Version, 128GB, Onyx Black - Unlocked (Renewed)
  • This phone is unlocked and compatible with any carrier of choice on GSM and CDMA networks (e.g. AT&T, T-Mobile, Sprint, Verizon, US Cellular, Cricket, Metro, Tracfone, Mint Mobile, etc.).

The Galaxy S24 FE is a related but distinct case. Samsung identifies it with Exynos 2400e, not the exact Exynos 2400. Its US newsroom announcement refers to an “Exynos 2400e series chipset.” Do not treat an S24 FE listing as an Exynos 2400 model.

How to compare Exynos 2400 with another chip

A meaningful comparison requires more than matching headline scores. Use results that align on the following points:

Rank #4
Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra 5G, US Version, 512GB, Titanium Black - Unlocked (Renewed)
  • 6.8″ Dynamic AMOLED 2X QHD+ display with a 1–120 Hz adaptive refresh rate and up to ~2600 nits peak brightness — delivering a bright, sharp screen with smooth scrolling and great outdoor visibility.
  • Benchmark and version: Compare the same test and release, not scores from different benchmark generations.
  • Handset and software: Match phone class and, as closely as possible, software state and memory configuration.
  • Workload and duration: Look at the GPU or gaming tasks you care about, and sustained performance where available—not only a peak result.
  • Regional variant: Verify whether the Galaxy S24 being compared uses Exynos 2400 or Snapdragon 8 Gen 3.

The available figures cited here are device-specific results, not a controlled Exynos-versus-Snapdragon test set. They therefore do not establish an unqualified winner between the two platforms.

What to check before buying an Exynos 2400 phone

The cited benchmark records concern the Galaxy S24 and S24+ with Exynos 2400. Since S24-family processors vary by market, confirm the exact chipset for the model and region in the seller’s listing or device details. Treat the S24 FE separately: Samsung specifies Exynos 2400e for that phone.

Best Value
Samsung Galaxy S24+ Plus 5G, US Version, 256GB, Onyx Black - Unlocked (Renewed)
  • 6.7″ Dynamic AMOLED 2X, QHD+ display with 1–120 Hz adaptive refresh and a peak brightness of ~2,600 nits — giving a noticeably sharper, brighter screen than the base S24.
