Marvel Television and Marvel Animation announced Marvel Zodiac, three Marvel Zombies specials, and a release date for Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man season 2 at New York Comic Con on October 8, 2026. The panel also featured footage and a screening that GamesRadar reported were exclusive to attendees—not publicly released trailers or episodes.
What was announced at Marvel’s NYCC 2026 panel?
The Marvel Television and Marvel Animation panel took place Thursday, October 8, from 4:15 to 5:45 p.m. ET on NYCC’s Empire Stage. The convention ran October 8–11 at the Javits Center in New York, according to New York Comic Con. GamesRadar reported that this particular panel was not livestreamed; that does not mean other NYCC panels were not streamed.
GamesRadar provided live, on-site coverage, and its report distinguishes public announcements from footage shown in the room. A separate 9to5Marvel recap corroborates the main project announcements. Here is what those reports say.
New project: Marvel Zodiac
Marvel announced Marvel Zodiac, a spy-thriller series planned for Disney+ in 2028. GamesRadar attributed the description to Brad Winderbaum, Marvel’s Head of Streaming, Television and Animation, quoting him as saying, “It’s a it’s a spy thriller,”

According to the report, filming was planned for London in spring, with casting expected to begin in the following weeks. No cast, characters, or plot details were confirmed in the accounts of the panel.
Marvel Zombies gets three specials
Rather than announcing a conventional second season, Marvel reportedly presented three specials, each with a title and year:

GamesRadar reported that Marvel withheld the identity behind The Last Guardian. The three titles and years were also reported by 9to5Marvel.
Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man season 2 gets a date
The panel reportedly set season 2 of Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man for January 13, 2027, and teased a Venom appearance. There is a year discrepancy in the reporting: GamesRadar’s liveblog prints 2026, while its October 8, 2026 timestamp and the separate 9to5Marvel recap support January 13, 2027. The latter is the consistent date, not January 2026.

Footage shown only to attendees
GamesRadar described several previews shown in the room. These are reporter descriptions of convention footage, not evidence that a public trailer or full episode is available.
X-Men ’97 season 3
The reported footage included public unrest and restrictions on mutant travel, a Sentinel, the Brotherhood, and a wedding scene identified as Rogue and Gambit’s. The panel report did not establish a premiere date or publicly released trailer.
Daredevil: Born Again season 3
GamesRadar reported a stage reunion involving members of the Defenders, followed by exclusive season 3 footage. The reporter described Matt Murdock in prison and other action. GamesRadar’s preview and live coverage characterized season 3 as the final season; the panel accounts cited here gave no release date or public trailer.

Attendees reportedly saw an exclusive trailer and the first episode of VisionQuest. GamesRadar placed the premiere in the following week. Marvel’s official search-result excerpt before the event listed an October 14, 2026 Disney+ debut, but the panel report is the basis for the room-only screening details.

What viewers can—and cannot—watch
Because GamesRadar reported that the Marvel panel was not livestreamed and that the previews were exclusive to attendees, its coverage is the available account here of what appeared on stage. The footage descriptions do not establish that those clips can be watched publicly. The clearest public-facing details in the reports are the announced projects, the stated years and date, and the limited development information above.
