The Electrolux EBE5007BD is a 496L bottom-mount refrigerator with a six-star energy rating and published annual consumption of 254 kWh. Its fit, door direction and the limits of the publicly visible independent review deserve as much attention as its feature list: CHOICE reports a 2025 test year, but its rating and detailed scores are members-only.
What capacity does the EBE5007BD actually offer?
Electrolux lists 496L of total capacity under the AS/NZS 4474.1 / IEC 62552 basis: 351L for the refrigerator and 145L for the freezer. The same specification gives gross compartment volumes of 362L and 167L, or 529L gross in total. These are different measures; use the 496L standardized figure when comparing rated capacity with other refrigerators, and treat 529L as gross volume rather than the model’s standardized capacity. Electrolux’s product specification sets out both figures.
The freezer is below the refrigerator, a layout that keeps the fresh-food compartment at the top. Whether that arrangement suits you depends on what you reach for most often and how you prefer to organize frozen food.
Will it fit your kitchen and delivery route?
Electrolux gives the appliance’s overall dimensions as 796 mm wide, 773 mm deep and 1725 mm high. Its listed cabinet dimensions are 790 mm wide, 641 mm deep and 1705 mm high. With the door open to 90 degrees, the stated depth is 1457 mm; the specification also calls for 50 mm of air space above the cabinet. The listed figures are a starting point, not a complete site assessment.

- Measure the available opening and compare it with the overall dimensions, allowing for the specified overhead ventilation space.
- Check the refrigerator door swing against walls, cabinetry and nearby appliances. The model is listed in left- and right-hand-opening variants: EBE5007BD-L and EBE5007BD-R.
- Measure the route into the kitchen, including doorways, hallways and turns. Confirm delivery and installation requirements with the retailer and check Electrolux’s current guidance for your site.
Because the opened-door depth is substantially greater than the closed depth, check that the door can open far enough for everyday access and drawer use. The product dimensions alone do not establish whether a particular niche or delivery route will work.

Electrolux lists a six-star energy rating and annual consumption of 254 kWh, using the AS/NZS 4474.1 2007 / IEC 62552-2015 basis shown in its specification. CHOICE’s public model page also displays six stars and claimed consumption of 254 kWh per year. These are published rating figures, not a measurement of your household’s actual use or electricity bill. Usage and cost depend on conditions such as settings, room temperature, how often the door is opened and your electricity tariff. CHOICE’s public review page identifies its figures as claimed consumption.

Electrolux describes a set of storage, cooling and control features. They are manufacturer-stated features; their presence does not independently establish a particular improvement in food life, temperature consistency or convenience.
