What does “2 cm pad inserted” mean?

The published measurements differ by source. Ecosa lists the pillow at 56 × 38 × 8/11.5 cm and says it fits standard-size pillowcases. CHOICE lists it as 57 cm wide, 40 cm long and 14 cm variable in height. These are separate source specifications, not measurements to combine into one universal size.
