Check the battery or charging hub’s indicator against the manual for your exact drone model and charging setup. A blinking or pulsing light may mean charging is in progress; the full-charge signal can be steady lights, lights turning off, or a hub light changing color. There is no universal drone-battery light code.
How to check whether your drone battery is charged
- Identify the aircraft and battery model. Use the manufacturer’s manual or support page for that exact model. DJI’s battery LED descriptions show that patterns can have different meanings.
- Identify what is charging. Note whether the battery is in the aircraft, connected directly to a charger, or placed in a charging hub. Check the indicator on that component; battery LEDs and hub LEDs do not necessarily share the same meanings.
- Look up the full-charge indication for that model and setup. DJI’s Aircraft Battery Charging Guide documents model-specific patterns and approximate charging durations. A time estimate alone does not confirm that charging is complete; duration can depend on the charger and setup.
- Disconnect the charger as instructed by the manufacturer. DJI’s guide gives this direction for several of its model examples.
What charging and full-charge lights can mean
DJI’s aircraft charging examples show sequentially blinking battery LEDs during charging. Completion varies: some models show all four battery-level LEDs steadily lit, while examples for the Air 2S, Mavic Air 2, DJI FPV, and Phantom 4 show the four LEDs off after a full charge when charging directly. In several charging-hub examples, the hub’s indicator changes to solid green.
For the Mavic 4 Pro, Mavic 3, Mavic 2, and Mavic Pro hubs covered by DJI’s charging-hub indicator guide, pulsing green means a battery is charging and solid green means all batteries are fully charged. That guide also lists solid red as a power-supply or battery error for several hubs, and blinking yellow as a temperature condition for the models described. These are specific examples, not codes to apply to other hubs or drones.

When a blinking pattern may signal a problem
Do not diagnose a battery from a pattern unless it matches the instructions for that exact battery. DJI’s Intelligent Flight Battery Level LEDs Descriptions lists abnormal charging indications, including alerts associated with excessive charger current or voltage and short-circuit or internal-communication errors. For the overcurrent or overvoltage case described there, DJI recommends using the standard provided charger; some other cases call for DJI testing or repair.
#1 Best Overall
- Compatible: Specially designed for DJI Mini 4K,Mini 2,Mini 2 SE,Mini SE drone battery
- Multifunction: full charge mode, storage charge mode, discharge battery(using Mini 2 battery as power bank), check battery level
- Full charge mode(Charging time): [Input≥PD 35W] two batteries are charged at the same time. Two Mini 2 batteries about 80 minutes
- Storage Charging Mode--Batteries with less than 60% charge will be charged to 60%,This battery level is ideal for long-term storage.NOTE:In this mode, the battery level is higher than 60%,the battery will not be charged
- Discharge mode/Using Mini 2/4K Battery as Power Bank:Connect USB port of the charging hub,you can use Mini 4K/2 battery to charge remote controller or other USB devices
DJI advises inspection if the battery will not charge, its indicator does not blink while charging, or its pattern is not covered by the documented cases. If the battery can power on, its charging-failure guidance recommends checking the aircraft app for an error prompt and contacting DJI Support as appropriate.

Use the charger or hub approved for your aircraft and battery model. Charging methods and indicators vary by model, so do not assume that a charger or light pattern from another drone is compatible. Verify compatibility in the manufacturer’s instructions before charging.
