Yes. T-Mobile’s Starlink-powered T-Satellite service is available in the U.S. for compatible iPhones, but the exact phone and supported features must be checked with T-Mobile. It is designed to connect when ordinary cellular or roaming service is unavailable—not to replace regular mobile coverage. T-Mobile’s live support page, checked October 4, 2026, lists messaging, location sharing, picture and audio messages, selected apps, and satellite data on supported devices.
What T-Mobile’s Starlink support means for iPhone users
The original announcement was about a planned rollout and beta. That has since moved on: T-Mobile now sells the Starlink-based service under the name T-Satellite. SpaceX announced in February 2025 that Direct to Cell messaging was available to T-Mobile customers in the U.S.; its announcement reported more than 400 satellites at that time, a historical company figure rather than a current constellation count. T-Mobile’s current T-Satellite support information describes a broader set of features than the original messaging beta.
T-Satellite is a carrier service, not another name for Apple’s own satellite features. Apple says operator-provided satellite features depend on carrier support, a supported plan, and compatible hardware. The two services have separate eligibility and feature sets. Apple’s satellite connectivity guidance explains the distinction.
Which iPhones are compatible with T-Satellite?
T-Mobile does not provide a stable, complete model-by-model iPhone list in its current support guidance. Use the eligibility checker in T-Life or T-Mobile’s IMEI checker instead of relying on an older iPhone list or assuming that a particular generation supports every feature. T-Mobile warns that feature availability—including picture messaging and data—can vary by device. Check T-Mobile’s current device and feature support before enrolling.

- 【Strong Adsorption】The inspiration of the silicone phone suction case comes from the adhesive force of the octopus. Each suction cup phone mount is 3.15 inches long and 2.17 inches wide, with 24 independent suction cups providing a stronger and more stable suction force, so you don't have to worry about your phone falling during use.
- 【Back of Phone Suction Grip】Remove the adhesive film on the phone suction cup and stick it on the phone case. You can then fix the phone on any smooth surface, which is very convenient. (The phone suction cup cannot be removed and reused after being attached to the phone case. It is recommended to attach it to a regular phone case, not a valuable one.)
- 【Widely Used】Our non-slip silicone phone sticky grip mount attaches to almost any flat phone case and make it compatible with common mobile phones such as iPhone and Android. You can shoot, watch videos or video calls in the kitchen, gym, dance studio, bathroom and other places.
- 【Capture the Wonderful Picture】Whether you are a TikTok creator or just like to share videos and photos, this phone suction cup can help you hands-free capture wonderful videos and photos for sharing with friends.
- 【Note】You can fix the phone suction cup on a smooth surface such as a mirror or glass. If necessary, wipe the suction cup with a damp cloth to obtain stronger suction. Before releasing your hand, make sure the phone is firmly fixed. (Not applicable to rough walls, wooden surfaces, and other uneven surfaces)
If you are not a T-Mobile customer, T-Mobile says your phone must be unlocked, satellite-optimized, and eSIM-capable to activate the service. Those requirements do not establish eligibility by themselves; check the exact device with T-Mobile.
Do you need a T-Mobile plan, and what does it cost?
As of October 4, 2026, T-Mobile says T-Satellite is included with its Experience Beyond 2.0 and Better Value plans. Its current page advertises an add-on for other T-Mobile customers and non-T-Mobile customers at $10 per month per line as a limited-time offer. Because both plan inclusion and promotional pricing can change, confirm the current terms on T-Mobile’s service page before signing up. T-Mobile’s T-Satellite page has the current service and offer details.

- SUPERIOR COMFORT — Unlike traditional circular ear buds, the design of EarPods is defined by the geometry of the ear. Which makes them more comfortable for more people than any other ear bud–style headphones.
- HIGH-QUALITY AUDIO — The speakers inside EarPods have been engineered to maximize sound output and minimize sound loss, which means you get high-quality audio.
- BUILT-IN REMOTE — EarPods with USB-C plug also include a built-in remote that lets you adjust the volume, control the playback of music and video, and answer or end calls with a pinch of the cord.
- COMPATIBILITY — Works with all devices that have a USB-C port.
- INTEGRATED MICROPHONE — A built-in microphone precisely captures your voice while you’re on the phone, taking a FaceTime call, or summoning Siri — so you’re always heard loud and clear.
Where T-Satellite is available—and when an iPhone connects
T-Mobile describes service availability in the continental U.S., Puerto Rico, Hawaii, and parts of southern Alaska. It also lists international roaming arrangements in Canada, New Zealand, and Japan; Text to 911 is unavailable in Japan. Coverage varies by location, so check T-Mobile’s live coverage map for a specific destination rather than treating a regional availability statement as a guarantee.
An eligible phone is designed to connect automatically when terrestrial or roaming cellular service is unavailable. T-Mobile advises going outdoors with a clear view of the sky and allowing time for the phone to acquire a satellite. On iPhone, the connection may appear with signal bars, “SAT,” and a network name such as “T-Mobile SpaceX” or “T-Sat+Starlink.”

Buildings, aircraft, cruise ships, mountains, canyons, tree cover, and regulatory restrictions can interrupt or prevent a connection. A satellite may also move out of range, leaving gaps or causing timeouts. Satellite service is most useful as a fallback in open areas without ordinary coverage, not as a reliable indoor connection.
What you can do over satellite
T-Mobile’s current guidance lists SMS, MMS and RCS messaging, picture and audio messaging, location sharing, selected satellite-ready apps, and satellite data on supported devices. The available app features vary; T-Mobile’s app list includes categories such as messaging, maps, outdoor navigation, weather, and safety. Some apps may need to be downloaded and signed into before you lose cellular coverage.

Satellite data is limited and optimized for selected apps; it is not equivalent to normal high-speed cellular data. Messages can take longer to send, and data or app sessions may be delayed, interrupted, or time out. T-Mobile does not promise a fixed delivery time or uninterrupted service. Check its current list for the apps and features supported by your device. See T-Mobile’s satellite-ready apps and device guidance.
Independent reader supportYour contribution helps us test, update, and keep practical guides available for everyone. Can you call 911 by satellite on an iPhone?
T-Mobile’s satellite 911 option is text-only; voice calling is not currently available through T-Satellite. T-Mobile warns that an emergency text may be delayed, fail, provide uncertain or unavailable location and phone-number information, or be relayed by a national emergency center to local responders with delay. It is not a substitute for a voice emergency call when one is available. T-Mobile’s support guidance and its service terms describe these limitations.

Do not conflate T-Mobile’s satellite 911 option with Apple’s built-in Emergency SOS via satellite. T-Mobile’s support page says iPhone 14 and later have built-in emergency satellite capability and are excluded from T-Mobile’s separate standalone T-911 service. Check the relevant service’s instructions and eligibility for your phone.
