Yes, Switchboard Live says it supports 1080p streaming. But its current public pricing page does not list a “Basic” plan, and its public FAQ does not say whether 1080p depends on a particular plan. So the available official information confirms general 1080p support—not that a Basic subscription includes it.
What Switchboard says about 1080p
Switchboard Live’s FAQ answers “Can I stream in 1080p?” with: “Yes, you can live stream in 1080p with Switchboard.” That answer does not name a plan. The FAQ also notes that suitable settings depend on factors such as internet quality and content type.
Switchboard’s minimum encoder settings article identifies YouTube as supporting 1080p (1920 × 1080). Its stated minimum of 720p (1280 × 720) at 30 frames per second is a minimum recommendation, not a maximum resolution or evidence of a 720p cap.
Does the current Basic plan include it?
Switchboard’s pricing page describes monthly or annual seat-based licenses and lists SMB, Public Sector, and Enterprise. It does not list a Basic plan in the plan information available there. The public FAQ and pricing information do not establish whether 1080p is restricted by plan, and they do not establish that “Basic” is another name for SMB.

If your account uses a legacy plan called Basic, or you mean the current SMB offering, confirm the exact plan name and 1080p entitlement with Switchboard before relying on it. The public information supports a general yes for 1080p streaming, but does not verify the plan-specific part of the question.
Settings that affect whether your YouTube stream reaches 1080p
Plan eligibility and successful delivery are separate questions. The encoder must output 1920 × 1080, and your upload connection must sustain the bitrate appropriate for your chosen codec and frame rate. Switchboard’s encoder article gives a minimum video bitrate of 2000 Kbps (2 Mbps) and says to send a keyframe at least every two seconds; those are its general minimum settings, not YouTube’s recommended 1080p bitrate targets.

These ranges are YouTube’s recommendations in its live encoder settings guidance, not Switchboard plan limits. Use the range for your codec and frame rate, and leave upload headroom for ordinary network variation. A connection that cannot sustain the encoder’s output can undermine delivery even when the service supports the resolution.
