Yes—many Razer Kraken headsets work with Razer Synapse, but support depends on the exact model. Razer’s current Synapse 4 list includes several Kraken models; check your headset against that list rather than assuming every product carrying the Kraken name is supported.
Which Razer Kraken headsets are listed for Synapse 4?
Razer’s Synapse 4 supported-device list includes these Kraken models:
- Kraken V4, Kraken V4 Pro and Kraken V4 X
- Kraken V3, Kraken V3 Pro, Kraken V3 HyperSense and Kraken V3 X
- Kraken Ultimate and Kraken Tournament Edition
- Several Kraken Kitty models
Because the Kraken family includes different products, this list is not a guarantee that every Kraken headset is supported or that supported models all expose the same software features. Check the Synapse 4 supported-device list for your precise product name or model number.
Should you use Synapse 3 or Synapse 4?
Razer identifies Synapse 4 as the official replacement for Synapse 3 and says it supports devices that were supported in Synapse 3. Razer says Synapse 3 stopped receiving updates and cloud services after February 3, 2026. Devices already installed in Synapse 3 remain configurable there; if you uninstall a device and want to continue customizing it, Razer directs you to Synapse 4.

Razer says installing Synapse 4 automatically uninstalls Synapse 3 and discourages running both versions at once because they may cause configuration conflicts. Synapse 4’s stated supported operating systems are Windows 10 64-bit and Windows 11.
How to check whether your Kraken works with Synapse
- Identify the exact headset. Find its product name or model number on the product label or in its support documentation.
- Check Razer’s supported-device list. Search the Synapse 4 list for that exact model; the Kraken family name alone is not enough to establish compatibility.
- Install the appropriate software. For current guidance, Razer directs users to Synapse 4 for supported devices.
- Confirm the operating system. Synapse 4 lists Windows 10 64-bit and Windows 11 as supported.
What to check if Synapse does not detect the headset
First confirm that the exact Kraken model is supported by the Synapse version you are using. Razer’s troubleshooting guidance also names software or hardware issues, unsupported devices, outdated Riot Vanguard blocking drivers, and compatibility mode as possible detection problems.
