Yes. You can import a password-protected staging page with html.to.design, but use its browser extension rather than the plugin’s public-URL import. Sign in to the staging site in a supported Chromium-based browser, capture the page with the extension, then open the capture in the Figma plugin.
How to import a password-protected staging page

Install the html.to.design extension in a supported Chromium-based browser. The official installation guide lists Chrome, Edge, Brave, Opera, Arc, and other Chromium-based browsers; it does not specify minimum browser versions. See the installation guide.

Open your staging site in that browser and sign in with an account authorized to access it.

Navigate to the exact page and state you want to import. The extension captures the page as it appears in the browser, so set up the relevant state first.

In Figma, open the html.to.design plugin and select its Extension tab to access a directly sent capture. If you downloaded a
.h2dfile, drop it into the plugin instead. Choose import settings, map any missing fonts if needed, and import. See the extension handoff instructions and the local-file instructions.

Why the plugin’s Web tab is different

CAPTCHA, fidelity, and other limits

CAPTCHA or bot checks: A direct URL import may show a human-verification prompt rather than the page. html.to.design recommends using the extension for bot-protected sites, and its extension guidance says you must solve a CAPTCHA challenge before capturing. See Bot-protected sites.

Page state matters: Because the extension captures what is visible in the browser, navigate to the intended route and state before pressing Capture.
