The Dimensity 9000 and Apple A15 Bionic are flagship mobile chips built for different device ecosystems, but the available evidence does not establish a controlled, matched-device test that proves one is universally faster. MediaTek publishes the Dimensity 9000’s CPU and memory specifications; A15 benchmark records, by contrast, are tied to particular devices such as the iPhone 13. To compare them fairly, distinguish chip specifications from device-specific benchmark results.
How their specifications compare
The clearest documented difference is the Dimensity 9000’s published CPU layout and GPU. For the A15 Bionic, the cited benchmark record identifies a specific iPhone 13 rather than a single configuration that represents every A15-powered device.
| Area | MediaTek Dimensity 9000 | Apple A15 Bionic |
|---|---|---|
| CPU | Eight cores: 1× Arm Cortex-X2 up to 3.05 GHz, 3× Cortex-A710 up to 2.85 GHz, and 4× Cortex-A510 up to 1.8 GHz. MediaTek product specifications | The cited record is for an iPhone 13 identified as using A15 Bionic; it does not provide a complete CPU specification for all A15 devices. Geekbench iPhone 13 record |
| GPU | Arm Mali-G710 MC10. MediaTek product specifications | GPU configuration can vary among A15 devices; the cited iPhone 13 record should not be treated as a specification for every A15 product. Geekbench iPhone 13 record |
| Memory | Supports LPDDR5X at up to 7500 Mbps. This is chip support, not a claim about the memory installed in every device. MediaTek product specifications | Device-level memory configuration is not established by the cited benchmark record. |
These figures describe different kinds of evidence: MediaTek’s page gives a chip specification, while Geekbench records identify results from retail devices. A handset’s installed memory and overall performance depend on its implementation; chip-level support does not tell you the full configuration of a particular phone.

What the benchmark evidence shows
There is no named, matched comparative benchmark result established by the cited sources. A third-party comparison page aggregates tests and specifications, but an aggregate is not proof of an apples-to-apples outcome unless the underlying devices, benchmark versions, software, and test conditions are specified. Geekbench’s public listings are version-specific and contain submissions from particular devices. A score should therefore be reported with the device, chip, benchmark version, score type, score, and date of the record—not as a guaranteed result for every phone using that chip. Do not combine Geekbench and AnTuTu numbers into one ranking: different benchmark suites measure performance differently. Geekbench mobile benchmark listings
For example, the cited Geekbench CPU record is identified as an iPhone 13 with A15 Bionic. It is evidence about that recorded device and test, not a direct head-to-head comparison against a specified Dimensity 9000 handset. Geekbench iPhone 13 record

Which chip is faster?
The available sources do not support a universal winner. The Dimensity 9000’s published clock speeds and core arrangement cannot, by themselves, establish how it compares with an A15 device in a particular workload. Nor does an aggregator page substitute for a controlled test on named devices.
Real-world results also depend on the phone or tablet’s cooling, power limits, firmware, software, and workload. Without matched testing that controls or documents those factors, sustained performance and user experience cannot be inferred reliably from the specification sheet alone.

How to use this comparison when choosing a device
These are chips inside devices, not interchangeable components or standalone upgrade choices. If you are comparing phones, use the SoC as one part of the decision, then check the actual device and the tasks you care about.
- For benchmark comparisons: look for the exact handset or tablet, benchmark suite and version, score type, and test date. Prefer results from the same suite and comparable test conditions.
- For graphics or gaming: identify the specific A15 device, because GPU configuration varies across A15 products, and compare sustained device-level results rather than relying on the chip name alone.
- For memory: separate supported memory technology from the capacity and configuration installed in the model you are considering.
- For a purchase decision: compare complete devices—including battery, display, camera, software support, availability, and price—rather than treating a chip comparison as a whole-phone verdict.
The iPhone 13 is one concrete A15 Bionic device identified in the cited Geekbench record; it is an example for interpreting device-specific results, not a direct performance equivalent to every Dimensity 9000 handset. Geekbench iPhone 13 record
