MediaTek officially names the Dimensity 7300 and Dimensity 7300X—not a “Dimensity 7300 Plus.” Its May 30, 2024 announcement describes the 7300X as a version designed for flip-style foldables with dual displays. That makes “7300 Plus vs 7300X” an imperfect comparison: the Plus label appears in third-party listings, and MediaTek has not confirmed it as an official counterpart. The available benchmark figures also come from different devices and test conditions, so they cannot establish a reliable performance winner.
Are the Dimensity 7300 Plus and 7300X official chip names?
MediaTek’s May 30, 2024 announcement names the Dimensity 7300 and Dimensity 7300X. It does not name a Dimensity 7300 Plus. The “7300 Plus” designation appears in third-party database coverage, so treat it as a listing label rather than a confirmed official MediaTek model unless a device maker provides authoritative clarification. MediaTek’s announcement is the source for its official naming.
As a result, there is no confirmed official-versus-official “7300 Plus vs 7300X” specification comparison. The meaningful documented distinction is between the 7300 and 7300X: MediaTek positions the X for flip-style foldable phones, including support for dual displays.
Dimensity 7300X specifications and platform capabilities
MediaTek’s 7300X product page lists the following platform specifications and capabilities. These describe what the chip platform can support; a phone maker may choose a narrower set of components or limits in a particular handset.

These are platform-level options, not a promise that every 7300X phone includes every maximum resolution, memory type, or feature. The phone’s actual camera sensors, memory configuration, display implementation, cooling and software are determined by its manufacturer. What is the practical difference between 7300 and 7300X?
The official announcement gives the Dimensity 7300 and 7300X the same CPU layout: four Cortex-A78 cores running at up to 2.5GHz plus four Cortex-A55 cores. MediaTek’s stated distinction for the 7300X is its design for flip-style foldable devices and support for dual displays. It does not publish a score comparison showing that the X is generally faster than the 7300.

A concrete example is Motorola’s Razr 50, whose manufacturer specification lists the Dimensity 7300X processor. That identifies one phone using the chip; it does not mean every foldable or every 7300X device has the same performance. See Motorola’s Razr 50 specifications.

The results are not matched by handset, benchmark version, software, or test conditions. Geekbench scores from different versions should not be treated as directly equivalent, and the 91mobiles “7300 Plus” listing is not a controlled counterpart to the Razr 50 upload. MediaTek does not publish a benchmark comparison for these exact two labels. The available evidence therefore does not support naming a benchmark winner.

Because “7300 Plus” is not confirmed as an official MediaTek name and benchmark listings are not directly comparable, choose between actual phones rather than relying on these chip labels alone. Compare the handset details that shape real use:

- Form factor and displays: If you want a flip phone, check the actual cover-screen and inner-screen sizes, functions and software support. Dual-display platform support does not by itself determine the phone experience.
- Camera hardware: Compare the sensors and camera features in the phone. The chip’s stated support for up to a 200MP primary camera and 4K HDR capture does not tell you what cameras a manufacturer installed.
- Memory, storage and thermals: Check the phone’s RAM and storage configuration, and consider cooling and sustained-use behavior; platform support alone does not specify a handset’s configuration or performance.
- Software support and price: Compare the manufacturer’s update policy and the current price of the exact models available to you.
