The Dimensity 7200 Pro and Dimensity 7400X use different CPU layouts, and the benchmark results available for them do not produce one clear winner. MediaTek’s base Dimensity 7200 specification lists two Cortex-A715 performance cores and six Cortex-A510 cores; the 7400X has four Cortex-A78 cores and four Cortex-A55 cores, plus support for flip-phone dual displays. In 91Mobiles’ comparison, its tested 7200 Pro phone scores higher in AnTuTu, while its tested 7400X phone scores higher in Geekbench. Those are handset results, not a guarantee that every phone with either chip will perform the same.
What is the main difference between the Dimensity 7200 Pro and 7400X?
The biggest specification difference is the CPU arrangement. MediaTek’s official Dimensity 7200 page describes the base chip—not every customization that a phone maker may associate with the “7200 Pro” name—as a 2+6 design with two Cortex-A715 cores up to 2.8 GHz and six Cortex-A510 cores. The Dimensity 7400X uses four Cortex-A78 cores up to 2.6 GHz and four Cortex-A55 cores. Both are 4 nm-class designs and support LPDDR4x and LPDDR5 memory.
They also differ in graphics and platform features. The 7200 specification lists Mali-G610 MC4 graphics and a maximum display refresh rate of 144 Hz. The 7400X lists Mali-G615 MC2 graphics, WFHD+ display support up to 120 Hz, and exclusive dual-display support for flip phones. A higher listed refresh rate or a newer GPU model alone does not establish which chip will be faster in a particular game or phone.

Which chip is faster in benchmarks?
There is no consistent winner in the figures published by 91Mobiles. Its comparison reports a higher AnTuTu total for the Dimensity 7200 Pro test phone, but higher Geekbench single-core and multi-core scores for the Dimensity 7400X test phone.
| Benchmark result reported by 91Mobiles | Dimensity 7200 Pro test phone | Dimensity 7400X test phone |
|---|---|---|
| AnTuTu total | 707,480 | 676,447 |
| Geekbench single-core | 1,068 | 1,098 |
| Geekbench multi-core | 2,454 | 3,043 |
These are the scores displayed in 91Mobiles’ processor comparison, accessed in 2026. The page identifies the AnTuTu figures as its tests, but the cited results do not establish a benchmark version or enough matched test details to treat the figures as a controlled comparison of the chips themselves. They describe the tested phones and conditions; another phone’s cooling, software, memory, and power settings can change its result.

- What You Get: Anker USB-C Hub (5-in-1, 4K HDMI), welcome guide, 18-month warranty, and our friendly customer service.
The different rankings are a reason not to reduce the comparison to one score. AnTuTu and Geekbench measure performance differently, and these results do not establish a universal lead in everyday use, gaming, or sustained workloads.
What phones use these processors?
91Mobiles associates the Dimensity 7200 Pro with the Nothing Phone (2a) and the Dimensity 7400X with the Motorola Razr 60. These are useful examples for a phone-level comparison, not proof that every regional model or configuration is identical. Check the exact model and chipset listed for sale in your country.

The specifications and cited benchmarks do not establish which chip delivers better sustained gaming, battery life, or application responsiveness. The 7200 Pro’s higher AnTuTu result does not prove it will maintain higher frame rates, and the 7400X’s higher Geekbench results do not prove that it will run every game faster.

Compare reviews of the exact phones you are considering. For gaming, look for sustained frame rates and thermal behavior over longer sessions, not just a short benchmark run. For general use, consider battery life and responsiveness alongside display quality, camera implementation, software support, price, and the phone’s form factor. Those factors can matter more to the purchase than a modest difference in a synthetic score.
The 7400X has a specific platform advantage if you want the supported dual-display flip-phone design, as seen in the Motorola Razr 60 association. That feature says more about the phone format the chip supports than about its raw speed. Verify the device’s exact display and other specifications before buying.
