There is no evidence-based overall winner between DanDomain and GoDaddy for every Danish customer. DanDomain is the more clearly documented fit if you want WordPress hosting with Danish-language support and a provider-stated Danish data-centre location. GoDaddy is easier to price at a glance: its Danish pages displayed low first-year offers for shared hosting and several managed WordPress tiers. But DanDomain’s comparable current price and both providers’ full renewal costs are not established here, so those offers do not prove which service costs less over your intended term.
At a glance: DanDomain vs GoDaddy hosting
| Factor | DanDomain | GoDaddy Denmark |
|---|---|---|
| WordPress hosting | WP Starter, WP Standard and WP Premium are listed. One-click installation, Danish-language support and AI tools are described on the provider’s WordPress page. Current comparable prices and complete package limits were not stated in the reviewed page content. (DanDomain WordPress hosting) | Managed WordPress Basic, Deluxe and Ultimate were displayed at 20, 69 and 99 DKK per month, respectively, with a one-year term selected. These are displayed first-term offers, not verified renewal or multi-year prices. (GoDaddy managed WordPress) |
| Shared hosting | A directly comparable current shared-hosting price and complete limits were not stated in the reviewed page content. | Economy was displayed at 16 DKK per month for the first one-year term, with one website, 25 GB NVMe storage, cPanel, a free domain, email and SSL for one year. (GoDaddy web hosting) |
| Data-centre location | DanDomain states that customer data is stored in Danish data centres. That provider statement does not independently establish latency or contractual data-residency terms. (DanDomain WordPress hosting) | The cited Danish product pages do not establish a comparable server location. |
| Other CMS options | The cited WordPress page focuses on WordPress hosting. | GoDaddy says its web hosting supports self-installation of WordPress, Joomla, Magento and Drupal. Its shared-hosting description says CPU and memory are divided among users. (GoDaddy web hosting) |
| Renewal price and total cost | Not stated in the reviewed page content. | The displayed first-term figures do not establish renewal prices or total cost over multiple years. |
GoDaddy’s Danish product pages were accessed on 7 October 2026. Prices and included features can change; check the live offer, term selection, tax basis and checkout terms before ordering. DanDomain states that its prices are in DKK excluding VAT, but a comparable current plan price was not available in the reviewed content. (DanDomain WordPress hosting)
What the displayed GoDaddy prices include—and do not prove
Economy shared hosting
GoDaddy displayed Economy at 16 DKK per month for the first one-year term. The page lists one website and 25 GB NVMe storage, along with cPanel, a free domain, free email and SSL at no charge for one year. It also describes a 30-day money-back guarantee. Treat these as the provider’s displayed offer and terms, not as independently verified service outcomes. Confirm the conditions and what happens after the introductory term on the live page. With a one-year term selected, GoDaddy’s Danish managed WordPress page displayed Basic at 20 DKK per month, Deluxe at 69 DKK per month and Ultimate at 99 DKK per month. The features differ by tier; the page associates higher tiers with additional storage and features such as staging, WooCommerce, priority support and PHP version control. The figures describe the displayed one-year offers, not a verified renewal rate or the cost of keeping the plan for several years. Check the live feature matrix to see which tier includes what you need. (GoDaddy managed WordPress)
#1 Best Overall
Choose the hosting type that matches your site
WordPress hosting
Both providers offer WordPress-related hosting, but the available evidence does not support a feature-for-feature comparison of all plans. DanDomain’s WordPress page lists one-click installation and three package names—WP Starter, WP Standard and WP Premium—without complete current limits or comparable prices in the reviewed content. GoDaddy’s managed WordPress page shows three tiers and describes tier-specific features. Compare the actual limits and included tools for the exact plans you are considering rather than assuming similarly named tiers are equivalent. (DanDomain WordPress hosting; GoDaddy managed WordPress)
Shared hosting and other content management systems
GoDaddy’s shared-hosting page says customers can self-install WordPress, Joomla, Magento and Drupal. GoDaddy also describes shared hosting as splitting CPU and memory among users, so a shared plan should be assessed against the demands of your site rather than treated as an unlimited-resource option. The cited evidence does not establish a directly comparable DanDomain shared-hosting plan. (GoDaddy web hosting)
Website builders are different products
Do not equate a website-builder subscription with cPanel hosting or managed WordPress. DanDomain’s older explainer distinguishes its website-builder service, whose maintenance and security it handles, from WordPress hosted by the customer, where WordPress maintenance and security remain the customer’s responsibility. It also says support for the builder does not constitute WordPress support; use this as a distinction in product scope, not as a current price guide. (DanDomain: What does a website cost?)
GoDaddy likewise distinguishes its website products: its help page says Airo AI Builder does not support WordPress, and describes Websites + Marketing as a template-based editor with marketing tools. If you need a WordPress installation or a different CMS, check that you are buying hosting that supports it rather than a site-builder product. (GoDaddy website product comparison)
Support and Denmark-specific considerations
DanDomain describes its WordPress hosting as Danish hosting with personal, Danish-language support. It also states that customer data is stored in Danish data centres. These are provider-described service details, not independent measurements of support quality, speed or uptime. A stated server location alone does not establish a contractual data-residency commitment or predict how quickly a particular visitor’s site will load. (DanDomain WordPress hosting)
Support scope matters as much as support language. For WordPress, ask whether assistance covers the hosting account only or also WordPress configuration, updates, plugins and security. The DanDomain product distinction above makes clear that its website-builder maintenance should not be assumed to apply to customer-managed WordPress. GoDaddy’s managed WordPress tiers list varying features, but the cited page does not establish independent support-quality comparisons. Review each provider’s current plan terms for the help included with the specific tier you would buy. (GoDaddy managed WordPress)
If you already own a .dk domain and plan to move it, DanDomain publishes a transfer guide. It explains a transfer process, but its existence is not evidence of a particular transfer price or of the time needed for an individual case. (DanDomain .dk domain transfer guide)

How to compare the real cost before buying
The displayed GoDaddy figures make its first-term offers visible, but the available information does not establish DanDomain’s comparable price, either provider’s renewal rates, or the overall lowest multi-year cost. Compare the same contract length and tax basis, then add the items your site actually needs.
Best Value
- Match the product. Decide whether you need shared hosting, managed WordPress or a website builder. Do not compare a builder subscription with a hosting plan as though they provide the same service.
- Set your requirements. Write down how many websites you need, storage needs, CMS, email, SSL, backups, staging and any ecommerce requirements. Check the plan limits rather than inferring them from its name.
- Compare the same term and tax basis. Record the initial price and renewal price for the same duration at each provider. DanDomain says its listed prices are in DKK excluding VAT; confirm how each checkout presents tax and any selected term.
- Include add-ons and migration costs. Check whether domain renewal, email, security, backups, migration or other tools are included for the full term or only initially, and add any required charges to the comparison.
- Verify the support and location claims that matter to you. Ask what support covers for your CMS and plan, and distinguish a provider-stated Danish data-centre location from an independently verified performance result or contractual residency term.
Which provider should you choose?
DanDomain may fit better if…
- Danish-language WordPress support is a priority and you want the provider’s stated Danish data-centre location.
- You prefer a provider that describes one-click WordPress installation and WordPress-specific packages, and you are willing to obtain the current package limits and price before deciding.
- You understand that WordPress maintenance and security remain your responsibility unless the specific service terms say otherwise.
GoDaddy may fit better if…
- You want a visible Danish first-term price for shared hosting or a choice of displayed managed WordPress tiers.
- You need the option to self-install a CMS such as Joomla, Magento or Drupal on shared hosting.
- You can check the live offer and renewal terms and confirm the tier’s storage and features match your site.
No independent head-to-head speed or uptime test is established by the cited material. DanDomain’s claim that its Standard and Premium optimization plugin can make a site “up to four times faster” is a provider claim, not an independent benchmark; it should not be read as proof that DanDomain is faster than GoDaddy.
