“Checkbox V15” is not a clearly identified product or documented release. If you need a distinctive checkbox for a web form, use a real HTML checkbox input and style its appearance with CSS. The example below keeps the input connected to a descriptive label, supports keyboard focus, and respects reduced-motion preferences.
A copyable custom checkbox snippet
This plain HTML and CSS pattern preserves the checkbox input rather than replacing it with a decorative element. Change the label and colors to suit your form; keep the input and label association intact.

}The input remains part of the form, so the browser can submit its name and value when checked. The adjacent sibling selectors depend on the markup order: the visual box must follow the input. The text label makes the whole control clickable and gives it an accessible name; do not remove that text or hide the input in a way that prevents keyboard users from reaching it.

What the snippet preserves—and what to check
- Native control: The browser still manages checked state and form submission through
input[type="checkbox"]. - Keyboard focus: The input remains focusable, and
:focus-visibledraws a clear outline around its visible box. - Reduced motion: The transition is disabled when the user requests reduced motion.
- Accessible name: The visible text sits inside the label associated with the input. An unlabeled checkbox does not communicate its purpose to assistive technology.
Before using the pattern in a production form, check it in the browsers and assistive technologies your audience uses. The examples cited here are tutorials and provider demonstrations, not independent test results for this exact code.

Choosing a snippet format
Plain CSS is easiest to adapt when you control the page markup. If your site already uses a framework, choose an example designed for that framework, but verify that its markup keeps the input-label relationship and a visible focus indicator.

Adapting it without breaking the control
- Replace the sample label with a concise description of the choice. Keep it inside the
<label>. - Set the input’s
nameand, if needed, itsvalueto match your form. A checkbox that is not checked is not submitted as a checked value. - Adjust the border, fill, dimensions, and focus outline in CSS. Preserve sufficient contrast and a visible focus indicator.
- If you add animation, keep the reduced-motion rule. Avoid hiding the input with
display: none, which removes it from keyboard navigation. - Test pointer use, keyboard navigation, checked and unchecked states, and form submission in the target environment. Verify the accessible name with the assistive technologies relevant to your audience.
What “Checkbox V15” refers to
The phrase “Checkbox V15” does not identify a verified product or canonical release in the available sources. There is no substantiated version history or single author to attribute to it.
