Cursor lists individual plans from free to $200 per month, plus India-only and business plans. For individuals, Hobby is free, Pro costs $20/month, Pro+ costs $60/month, and Ultra costs $200/month. Those prices do not translate into a fixed number of prompts: model choice and workload affect how quickly included usage runs out. Cursor’s current plan details are on its pricing page and Models & Pricing page.

Cursor plan prices at a glance

The following prices and plan comparisons are published by Cursor and were checked in October 2026. They are subscription prices; applicable taxes may affect the amount charged, except that the India-only Start price is listed as tax-inclusive. Check checkout for the amount payable in your location.

Plan Published price What it offers for plan selection
Hobby Free Limited Agent usage and access to Composer; useful for trying Cursor without a subscription.
Pro $20/month Individual paid plan with two usage pools, extended Agent limits, and access to frontier models.
Pro+ $60/month Three times Pro’s Agent limits, according to Cursor; recommended by Cursor for daily Agent users.
Ultra $200/month Twenty times Pro’s Agent limits, according to Cursor; recommended by Cursor for Agent power users.
Start ₹649/month India-only, tax-inclusive monthly plan. Includes the Cursor Models pool, not the Other Models pool.
Teams Standard $40/user/month Team billing, administration, and collaboration features.
Teams Premium $120/user/month Team features plus five times Standard’s Agent limits, according to Cursor.
Enterprise Custom For organizations seeking options such as pooled usage, invoicing, SCIM, and advanced controls.

See Cursor’s pricing page and Models & Pricing for current prices and plan descriptions. Cursor says applicable taxes may apply to prices other than the tax-inclusive India Start price.

What “credits” and usage pools mean

Cursor’s documentation describes two separately tracked monthly usage pools for Pro, Pro+, and Ultra. The pool labels are more useful than treating “credits” as a universal prompt balance: consumption varies by selected model, and Cursor does not publish a stable conversion from a plan price to a number of tasks.

  • Cursor Models: Usage for the Cursor Models named in the current documentation, including Grok and Composer models.
  • Other Models: Usage for third-party models, charged at the applicable model API price.

The pools reset with the billing cycle, and Cursor says the dashboard shows usage and remaining allowances. Start is an exception: it covers the Cursor Models pool only. Details are in Cursor’s Models & Pricing documentation and usage and limits help page.

For Enterprise, Cursor says usage can be pooled across users under the same account number. Its Pricing Policy, last updated August 21, 2026, defines precommitted usage as a minimum usage-fee commitment and says unused precommitted usage does not roll over into a later service term. Enterprise order forms and separate customer agreements govern the terms for an individual organization.

What happens when included usage runs out?

Individual users can choose among allowing on-demand usage at applicable API rates, moving to a plan with higher included limits, or turning off on-demand usage so requests stop when included usage is exhausted. Cursor says individual users must explicitly enable on-demand usage.

Users can set an on-demand spend limit in spending settings, but Cursor cautions that enforcement is not instant. Usage may briefly exceed the limit before the system recognizes it, so check the dashboard during the billing cycle if controlling costs matters. See Cursor’s usage-based charges page.

On Teams, on-demand usage is enabled by default; admins can disable it or set team spend limits. Cursor also notes that some third-party requests on Teams and Enterprise incur a Cursor Token Rate in addition to model API fees. Review the current terms before comparing business-plan usage costs with individual plans.

Which Cursor plan should you choose?

Choose Hobby to try Cursor at no subscription cost

Hobby suits exploration or light use when limited Agent usage is acceptable. It lets you evaluate the product before paying, but it is not a dependable measure of how much usage a paid plan will provide.

Choose Pro as the entry paid tier

At $20/month, Pro is the individual starting point if its included usage fits your normal work. Watch actual pool consumption in the dashboard before upgrading; there is no reliable task-count estimate that applies across models and workloads.

Consider Pro+ for daily Agent use

Cursor describes Pro+ as having three times Pro’s Agent limits and recommends it for daily Agent users. That is a vendor-published comparison, not an independent usage benchmark, and it does not specify a fixed number of tasks.

Consider Ultra for heavy Agent use

Cursor describes Ultra as having twenty times Pro’s Agent limits and recommends it for Agent power users. The $200/month subscription makes sense only if the higher included limits are worth the additional cost for your workload.

Choose a team plan for shared administration

Teams Standard is $40/user/month; Teams Premium is $120/user/month and adds five times Standard’s Agent limits, according to Cursor. Consider Teams when central billing, administration, team usage visibility, SSO, or shared team features matter. Enterprise is custom priced for organizations seeking features such as pooled usage, invoicing, SCIM, priority support, or advanced access and security controls.

Compare plans across four practical questions: subscription cost, included Agent and model usage, exposure to on-demand charges and available cost controls, and whether you need individual or team administration. Cursor’s recommendation of Pro+ for daily Agent users and Ultra for Agent power users is its own guidance, not an independent benchmark.

How to change plans and manage billing

  1. Open the Cursor billing dashboard to manage your subscription.
  2. When upgrading an individual plan, expect the change to take effect immediately. Cursor says any credit is based on unused included usage, not the number of days left in the billing period.
  3. When downgrading, expect the change to be scheduled for the end of the current billing period.
  4. Review the account billing screen and checkout terms before confirming a change. Cursor’s pricing and plans help page describes these plan-change rules.

Buy Cursor subscriptions through the official site

Cursor says subscriptions are sold through cursor.com and third-party sellers are unauthorized. Use Cursor’s official pricing page rather than buying a purported subscription from a reseller.
