What is the CrowPi 3?
Elecrow describes CrowPi 3 as a portable development and learning station designed around Raspberry Pi 5. Its integrated screen, camera, microphone, ports and electronics modules are intended to let learners work through coding projects without assembling every peripheral separately. Elecrow’s product listing advertises more than 180 interactive lessons.
The product page describes the built-in components in two ways: one section says “30+” sensors and modules, while another says 41 onboard modules. Those are Elecrow’s product claims, not independently verified counts. The listing also specifies a 4.3-inch capacitive touchscreen with 800 × 480 resolution.
What can you do with a CrowPi 3?
Projects use the station’s onboard hardware to connect code with physical responses such as lights, sounds and sensor readings. The included learning environment is aimed at coding and electronics, with applications Elecrow lists for projects, AI computer vision, AI-generated content, Python, Arduino, micro:bit, games and Scratch. Elecrow’s CrowPi 3 wiki describes these applications and project resources.

Raspberry Pi Official Magazine’s reviewer, Ashley, reported that the components in the Basic Kit they tried were clearly labeled and that the lessons made code produce tangible results, including lights, sounds and sensor responses. The magazine called it “a very complete learning kit” for people getting into coding and making, including current AI trends. That is one reviewer’s experience, not a broad reliability test.
Is the CrowPi 3 compatible with Raspberry Pi Pico or micro:bit?
Yes. Elecrow and Raspberry Pi Official Magazine list support for Raspberry Pi 5, Raspberry Pi Pico boards, Arduino Nano and micro:bit. The magazine specifies all Raspberry Pi Pico models. Compatibility does not mean those boards are included with every kit; confirm both the exact model and the selected kit’s contents.

Does the CrowPi 3 come with a Raspberry Pi?
Not necessarily. Elecrow’s listing offers Basic and Advanced variants, and describes an Advanced option that includes a Raspberry Pi 5 16GB. A campaign FAQ says Basic and Edu kits do not include a Raspberry Pi or other development board. Because kit offers and contents can change, use the current listing for the specific configuration you plan to buy rather than relying on the product name or pictures.
The Raspberry Pi Official Magazine review covered a Basic Kit without a Pi installed; the reviewer added a Raspberry Pi 5. The review also says that kit did not include batteries and was powered using its supplied power supply. These details apply to the reviewed kit, not necessarily every current package.

What does the CrowPi 3 include, and what should you check?
The station integrates a compact display and electronics modules, but the board, batteries and accessories can depend on the kit. Before ordering, verify:
- Development board: Check whether the chosen variant includes a Raspberry Pi or another board, and whether that board is the model you want.
- Power supply and batteries: Check the package list rather than assuming batteries are included. The reviewed Basic Kit used its supplied PSU and had no batteries.
- Accessories: Confirm that any item shown in product imagery is listed as included with your selected configuration.
- Price and delivery: Compare the live price for the exact variant, shipping destination and included hardware. Elecrow’s page has offered different configurations, so an isolated price may not describe the kit you need.
The 4.3-inch display is compact, which suits a portable integrated station but is smaller than a typical desktop monitor. If you are comparing it with a separate Raspberry Pi setup, compare the board and screen you would actually buy, the included modules, supported boards and lessons, portability, power needs and total configuration cost. The available product and review information does not establish that CrowPi 3 is cheaper or better value than assembling separate parts.

What power supply does the CrowPi 3 need?
Elecrow specifies a 5V/5A USB-C input with PD protocol. Its CrowPi 3 repository warns users to use a 5V/5A adapter that supports PD, stating that otherwise the device may not operate or could be damaged. Do not assume that any USB-C charger meets this requirement; check the adapter’s supported output and PD capability.
Elecrow also lists 5V/2A output through Type-C. For setup instructions and the official system image, consult the CrowPi 3 repository.
