To connect Samsung Galaxy Buds, open the charged earbuds’ case near your phone and accept the pairing prompt. If no prompt appears, pair them from the phone’s Bluetooth settings; on compatible Android phones, Galaxy Wearable is another setup route. The steps and available app features vary by Buds model and phone software.
Choose the pairing method for your phone

Pair Galaxy Buds with a Samsung Galaxy phone
- Charge the Buds if needed, then place both earbuds in their case.
- Turn on Bluetooth on the phone and open the case near it.
- If a connection prompt appears, tap it and follow the on-screen setup. On supported phones updated to One UI 8, Samsung describes pairing through Bluetooth and QuickPair without Galaxy Wearable.
- If there is no prompt, open the phone’s Bluetooth settings, choose the option to pair a new device, and select the Galaxy Buds when they appear.
Samsung says automatic pairing is available on supported Galaxy devices when the case is opened nearby; exact behavior depends on the device and software. See Samsung UK’s setup guidance.
Pair Galaxy Buds with another Android phone
- Enable Bluetooth and keep the phone close to the Buds.
- With the earbuds in the case, open it. If you use Galaxy Wearable, open the app and follow its instructions to find and select the Buds.
- Allow any permissions the app requests, then complete setup.
- If app setup is unavailable or the Buds are not listed, go to the phone’s Bluetooth settings, choose to pair a new device, and select the Buds.
Galaxy Wearable menus and compatibility vary. For example, Samsung notes that the app may request Nearby devices permission on Android 12 and later; the prompts depend on your software. Samsung’s pairing guide.

Pair Galaxy Buds with an iPhone
- Open iPhone Settings and turn on Bluetooth.
- Open the Buds case near the iPhone. If the Buds do not appear, put them into pairing mode using the method for your specific model.
- Under the available Bluetooth devices, tap the Galaxy Buds entry.
Pairing through Bluetooth is the relevant route for iPhone users. Do not assume Galaxy Wearable or its custom settings are available: Samsung’s iOS app support applies only to certain Buds models. Samsung’s Galaxy Wearable information.

If your phone cannot find the Buds
- Restart pairing mode. Samsung’s instructions describe holding the earbuds or case control for at least 3–4 seconds for some recovery procedures, but the control and method vary by model. Check the instructions for your exact Buds rather than assuming every case has the same button. Samsung Japan Support.
- Close and reopen the case. Samsung says active pairing stops if the Buds are not paired within three minutes of opening the case. Close it, then open it again to restart pairing. Samsung UK Support.
- Check Bluetooth and distance. Make sure Bluetooth is on and keep the phone near the case. Samsung gives 10 metres as approximate Bluetooth-range guidance, not a guarantee; obstacles and interference can reduce the usable range. Samsung Japan Support.
- Charge the earbuds. If they are new or have been unused for a while, Samsung Japan recommends charging them for at least 10 minutes before pairing. Samsung Japan Support.
- Rule out another paired device. A nearby device the Buds were previously paired with may interfere. Disconnect it or temporarily turn off its Bluetooth, then try again. Samsung Japan Support.
- Check app permissions. If you are setting up through Galaxy Wearable, grant the requested permissions and retry discovery.
