There is no like-for-like benchmark result here that proves whether Apple’s A18 Pro or Google’s Tensor G6 is faster overall. The available figures come from different kinds of evidence: Apple’s 2024 claims compare A18 Pro with its predecessor, while 2026 Pixel 11 review scores measure a finished phone running Tensor G6. The specifications and results below show what can be compared—and what cannot.

At a glance: chip specifications and evidence

A18 Pro powers the iPhone 16 Pro and iPhone 16 Pro Max. Google lists Tensor G6 in the Pixel 11 family. Apple publishes more architectural detail in its launch material; Google’s phone specifications identify the chip but do not provide an equivalent complete CPU, GPU, and neural-engine specification sheet.

Comparison point Apple A18 Pro Google Tensor G6
Phones identified in the cited material iPhone 16 Pro and iPhone 16 Pro Max (Apple, 2024) Pixel 11 family (Google, 2026)
CPU information Six cores: two performance cores and four efficiency cores (Apple, 2024) One Arm C1-Ultra core at 4.11 GHz, four Arm C1-Pro cores at 3.38 GHz, and two Arm C1-Pro cores at 2.65 GHz (Android Authority; independent reporting, not Google’s specification sheet)
GPU information Six-core GPU (Apple, 2024) Google’s cited specifications do not state a comparable GPU-core configuration.
Neural processing information 16-core Neural Engine; Apple also describes next-generation machine-learning accelerators (Apple, 2024) Google says Tensor G6 runs its latest Gemini Nano model; the cited specifications do not state a comparable Neural Engine core count.
Manufacturing process Second-generation 3-nanometer technology, according to Apple (2024) Not stated in the cited Google specifications.
Published performance evidence Apple’s CPU, GPU, and ray-tracing improvements are versus the previous generation; no matched A18 Pro score is established here. Tom’s Guide review averages for a Pixel 11: Geekbench 6 single-core 2,664, multi-core 7,347; 3DMark Wild Life Unlimited 84.28 fps (2026).

These entries do not form a controlled chip-versus-chip test. The A18 Pro specifications and generational deltas are Apple-published claims; Tensor G6’s CPU layout is independent reporting, and the benchmark scores are measurements on a complete Pixel 11.

What Apple says about A18 Pro performance

Apple introduced A18 Pro with the iPhone 16 Pro models on September 9, 2024. Its announcement says the chip uses second-generation 3-nanometer technology and has a six-core CPU, six-core GPU, and 16-core Neural Engine. Apple also cites next-generation machine-learning accelerators and increased total system memory bandwidth, without publishing every implementation detail needed for a silicon-level comparison. • Convert USB-A Ports to USB-C: Designed to connect USB-C earphones, cables, flash drives, card readers, and other USB-C accessories to standard USB-A ports. Plug-and-play with no drivers or software required.
  • Aluminum Alloy Housing: Built with a sturdy aluminum alloy shell that aids in heat dissipation and protects against daily wear and scratches. Designed to maintain a stable and secure connection.
  • Compact & Travel-Friendly: The ultra-compact design allows the adapter to stay plugged into your device without blocking adjacent ports or adding bulk, reducing wear and tear on your original USB ports.
  • 12-Month Warranty: Backed by a 12-month manufacturer warranty for peace of mind. Designed to meet strict quality control standards for reliable everyday performance.

Apple’s speed and power numbers compare A18 Pro with the previous generation—not Tensor G6. Apple says A18 Pro can run the same CPU workload 15 percent faster while using 20 percent less power than its predecessor. It also claims the GPU is up to 20 percent faster and hardware-accelerated ray tracing up to 2x faster than the previous generation. These are vendor-reported generational comparisons, not independently matched results against a Pixel 11.

What is known about Tensor G6

Google announced Tensor G6 as the processor for Pixel 11 devices on August 12, 2026, calling it the company’s fastest and most powerful chip and saying it runs the latest Gemini Nano model. Google’s Pixel phone hardware specifications list Tensor G6 for Pixel 11 products and identify Titan M3 in the platform’s security architecture. These are phone-platform details; they should not all be treated as isolated chip capabilities. Google’s Pixel 11 announcement

What the Pixel 11 benchmark scores mean

Tom’s Guide reports Pixel 11 review averages of 2,664 in Geekbench 6 single-core, 7,347 in Geekbench 6 multi-core, and 84.28 frames per second in 3DMark Wild Life Unlimited. These figures describe the reviewed Pixel 11 under that publication’s test procedure, not a bare Tensor G6 in isolation. Phone memory, cooling, firmware, software state, and test conditions can influence results. Tom’s Guide’s Pixel 11 review

Tom’s Guide says Tensor G6 trails its tested rivals in the review’s comparisons. That is the reviewer’s conclusion for the devices and tests covered there; it is not an A18 Pro-versus-Tensor G6 result. A score from a Pixel 11 cannot be compared fairly with an A18 Pro score from another phone, test version, or review protocol merely because both use the same benchmark name.

How to make a fair A18 Pro vs Tensor G6 comparison

A useful head-to-head would test finished phones under a common protocol and report separate workloads rather than collapse them into one winner. At minimum, readers should be able to see:

  • CPU: The same benchmark version and workload for single-core and multi-core results, with the phone models identified.
  • GPU: The same graphics test, settings, and frame-rate measure; ray tracing should be reported as its own workload rather than inferred from general GPU scores.
  • Sustained performance: Test duration, thermal conditions, and any change in throughput or frame rate over time, since the handset’s cooling affects results.
  • Efficiency: Energy consumed during a defined task. A process-node label or peak score alone does not establish which chip uses less energy in practice.
  • AI: The model and task, whether processing runs on-device or in the cloud, and measured latency and output quality.
  • Platform context: Phone model, memory configuration, software version, and relevant regional variant, so handset differences are not mistaken for chip differences.

Until those conditions are matched, benchmark scores are useful for understanding a particular phone and test—not for declaring a definitive silicon winner.

Which chip should you choose?

Choose by the phone and platform you want, not by treating these figures as a direct speed ranking. A18 Pro’s published figures describe Apple’s claims against its previous generation; Tensor G6’s cited benchmark scores describe a Pixel 11 review. Neither evidence set establishes which chip is faster across CPU, graphics, sustained loads, efficiency, and AI. Camera results, battery life, and everyday responsiveness also depend on the complete phone and cannot be predicted from a peak benchmark alone.
