Colossal Media is reportedly hand-painting a Grand Theft Auto VI mural featuring Jason and Lucia in Williamsburg, Brooklyn. GTA BOOM reported on October 6, 2026, that the company confirmed the work in an Instagram post, linking it to its first Rockstar Games campaign for Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas in 2004. The report describes the mural as a work in progress; it does not establish that the piece is finished.
Who is painting the GTA 6 mural?
GTA BOOM identifies Colossal Media as the company painting the reported mural. The outlet says the Instagram post from Colossal depicts the work in progress and features GTA VI characters Jason and Lucia. The confirmation and quoted wording are reported secondhand by GTA BOOM; the original post and mural have not been independently verified here. Read GTA BOOM’s October 6, 2026 report.

Where is the mural in Williamsburg?
GTA BOOM places the mural at Wythe Avenue and North 11th Street in Williamsburg, Brooklyn. The report says the same corner had a Grand Theft Auto V mural in 2013. That comparison is about a reported return to the location, not proof that Rockstar and Colossal maintained an uninterrupted campaign relationship in the intervening years.

How does the mural connect to GTA: San Andreas?
According to GTA BOOM, Colossal’s post traces the relationship to a 2004 Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas campaign, which the company described as its first campaign with its first client, Rockstar Games. The report attributes this statement to Colossal: “Twenty-two years ago, we painted our first campaign with our very first client, @rockstargames,” and “Two decades later, we’re back at it for GTA 6. From Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas in 2004 to GTA 6 in 2026, tradition continues.” The 22-year span is the calendar-year difference between 2004 and 2026.

What the mural announcement does—and does not—confirm
The reported announcement concerns Colossal Media’s marketing work. It is not confirmation of additional murals, a new trailer, a promotional event, or any change to the game itself.
Rockstar’s official Grand Theft Auto VI page lists PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S and gives November 19, 2026 as the scheduled release date. That is the date currently listed by Rockstar, not a guarantee against a future schedule change.
