CBC Underwriters, Inc. is named in two recent applications for the ABCOVER mark: a design-mark application filed September 17, 2026, and a standard-character application filed September 21, 2026. The returned records show both as new applications not yet assigned to an examiner—not as registered trademarks.

What the two ABCOVER applications say

The records identify CBC Underwriters, Inc. as the applicant and describe insurance agency services; underwriting of property and casualty insurance; and insurance consulting and information services.

Mark format Serial number Filing date Reported status
Design mark 50115096 September 17, 2026 Status 630: new application initialized, not assigned to an examiner
Standard-character mark 50120570 September 21, 2026 Status 630: new application initialized, not assigned to an examiner

These are separate records with distinct serial numbers and mark formats. The different filing dates therefore do not conflict. The application details are reported in the Justia record for serial 50115096 and the Justia record for serial 50120570.

What ABCover reportedly covers

Coverager’s October 2026 report describes ABCover as an insurance brand focused on school districts. It says the brand’s website lists staff absence coverage, which reimburses districts when employees are absent, and student accident coverage. Coverager also reports that the coverage is backed by the global insurance market, including underwriters at Lloyd’s of London. These are reported product descriptions, not independently verified policy terms; the applications’ service identifications do not establish specific coverage, exclusions, or conditions. See Coverager’s report.

Does this mean ABCOVER is registered?

No. The returned Justia records report status 630 for both applications: each is a new application initialized but not yet assigned to an examiner. That status does not show that either mark has been registered or that examination is complete.

What the filings mean for school districts

The filings indicate that CBC Underwriters has applied to protect ABCOVER in connection with the listed insurance services. They do not, by themselves, confirm that a particular policy is available to a district or settle its coverage terms. Districts evaluating staff absence or student accident insurance should review the applicable policy documents and confirm coverage details with the insurer or a qualified school insurance broker.
